The combination of the Mars/Mercury retrogrades could make it feel like you are going back over old territory again and again, before you can take a step forward. It’s more like a crawl forward. However, on Sunday, when Mars returns to Capricorn, even though it is retrograde, it can still bring a certain strength and confidence, as well as much needed organization. It will still feel a bit like you are shoveling up behind the elephants for a while, before you have everything ‘figured out’. Use the next few weeks to reorganize, recalculate and re-do as needed. It will allow you to be on a firmer footing when things finally begin to move forward in September. In the mean time, don’t allow circumstances to get your knickers tied in a knot. The New Moon Eclipse on Saturday is about reinvesting in your own joy and happiness, and not take things quite so seriously. Laughter is the fuel that will carry you through the next few weeks. You’ve got this. 

Taurus

Do not allow yourself to be discouraged over the next few days. Your ruling planet Venus received a bit of a bruising over the past few days, leaving you licking a few wounds. But she is strong in the sign of Libra, and ultimately she will prevail despite any treacherous weather. Think of it as a challenge to remember that love and fairness wins in the end. Always. In the mean time the New Moon Eclipse is drawing your attention to home, family and your personal life. Looking to redecorate? To make your surroundings more comfortable? Probably the most important thing that Taurus can do right now, is to pay attention to your emotional well being and happiness. What are the things that will make you smile, even on the most trying of days? 

Gemini

It is way too easy to get over-extended, scattered and confused with this Mercury retrograde. Information seems to be coming from every direction. Even more so over the next several days. There are only so many hours in a day, and you can only be in so many places at once. Add to this that there is only so much information that you can hold in your brain at one time. There are times when it will seem that you can’t possibly take care of all the responsibilities and activities in your day. But if you take care of one thing at a time, one day at a time, before you know it, you will make it through to the other side. This New Moon Eclipse could help you to sort out your priorities and figure out how you can manage your time more efficiently going forward. It’s also a reminder of exactly what sort of things and information you want to fill your mind with. 

Cancer

In some way, Cancer is being asked to open up their hearts to a greater purpose. It’s not so much about material rewards and goals, though those can be nice as well. It’s more about investing all that you do with greater meaning and fulfillment. It may even seem that there are signposts along the way trying to steer you in that direction. This season’s eclipses began with an Eclipse in your sign on July 12th, culminated in an excitable Lunar Eclipse on the 27th and closes with this final Eclipse on Saturday. Whatever changes that may have occurred over the past month, whatever initiatives you may have been considering, this New Moon eclipse is about seeing whether or not you can make these practical and sustainable going forward. So many planets are still retrograde, so it’s hard to get the momentum going, but it will soon be evident what are those things you want to focus on. And where you will want to invest your valuable time and resources going forward. 

Leo

The Solar Eclipse on Saturday is in your sign. The Leo’s that will be most sensitive to this Eclipse will be those born between August 8th and the 14th, or who have 15-21º of Leo Rising, although all Leo’s should feel the strength of this Eclipse. In the dark ages, eclipses were met with trepidation and fear, for they were felt to be associated with tragic and monumental events. However, these New Moons are merely invested with a little extra karmic inevitability, letting us know that our time has come to begin anew, and breathe new life into all that you do. And if that also means clearing the field in order for new seeds to take root, so be it. Therefore may you plant seeds of joyous enthusiasm, happiness, and the ability to channel the radiance and creative intelligence of the universe. Leo is ruled by the Sun, the central force of our Solar System. Therefore like the Sun, may you bring inspiration and light to all you meet. 

Virgo

As we continue to muddle through the Mercury retrograde phase, you will gradually begin to see a shift over the week ahead, as Mercury will then begin to slow for its Direct station on the 19th. In the mean time, take things one at a time, one day at a time, in order to not get overwhelmed. It is very easy to get over-committed in this weather, and torn between one obligation and another. You can only be in so many paces at once. Therefore, use sobriety and wisdom to guide you over the weeks ahead. It gets a little better as we move through the week, as so much more can be accomplished when we have the support and assistance of allies. In order to make a new beginning with the upcoming Solar Eclipse, acknowledge those things that first need to be released. Sometimes it is necessary to weed out the garden in order for new seeds to take root and thrive. 

Libra

There is something to be said for equanimity, balance and moderation. If your life has become unbalanced as of late, you will be all too aware of the discomfort it brings. Sometimes it can feel as if you are bearing the weight of the world on your shoulders, and there is little to be done about it. Yet if you were to but ask, you just might find that help has been there all along. The stress that accompanies the early days of this week, give way to cooperation, and comraderie by week end. This Solar Eclipse is Libra’s wishing Moon: therefore wish for all things gracious, joyous and kind. And may these bring the equanimity you so desire. The Sabian Symbol for the degree of this eclipse is a Houseboat Party. May you find your own party afloat on the sea of life, untethered, and unmolested by worry and obstacles to your happiness. 

Scorpio

Although Mars is still retrograde, and it can often feel as if you are taking two steps back for every step forward, the energy is about to change as Mars returns to Capricorn on Tuesday. You won’t get all of your mojo back yet, for it will still feel as if you are going back over old territory and heading for retreat until the end of the month.  Yet in doing this backward trek, there are still opportunities for healing and letting go of old wounds that have haunted you for some time. This is a strong Eclipse for Scorpio. It is asking you to think in terms of what it might mean to be an example for others to follow. Questions you may ask yourself are: how do you want to be seen by the world? What are the traits and qualities that you want to be known for? Someone with integrity? Someone that you would be proud of? Someone worthy of admiration? Sometimes all that is required is stepping out of the shadows in order to allow your light to shine. 

Sagittarius

It is said that there exists a team of spiritual guides keeping a watch over mankind. And that if we didn’t have this team we would be in far worse trouble than we already are. It is also said, that if we just take one step in the right direction they will meet us half way. The methods of guidance are unique to each individual, and sometimes they can be quite subtle. As a result, you might want to make some space to hear that still small voice in the back of your conscience; and to pay attention to the prevailing signs and omens. At other times messages can be quite direct and from a trusted teacher. There are many ways to receive guidance along the path. And with the Leo Eclipse this weekend, look for ways in which to expand and enrich your world. There is a whole world of information, perspectives and experiences out there just waiting to be explored. 

Capricorn

Many people will be feeling as if they are at loggerheads with others, not able to make connections, and afraid of saying or doing the wrong thing for fear of hurting someone’s feelings, or being rejected. And it could also feel that due to circumstances, obligations, work schedules that you don’t have enough time for the things that you would really rather be doing. However, what the next several days are good for is looking at people and your life much more objectively, and coming to accept life and people for where they are right now. Which indeed may be less than perfect. But with this New Moon Eclipse in the sign of Leo, Capricorn is being asked to consider those things in your life that you might want to change. Especially those sorts of changes that will bring more joy and laughter into your life. Even if you are busy. Even if are carrying a load on your shoulders. What needs to be released in order to move forward? 

Aquarius

Even over the next few days it could feel like there are remnants left over from the Lunar Eclipse: sudden changes and shifts; the feeling that something or someone is going to explode; not knowing what the next day will bring. You know the picture. However, as Mars moves back out of your sign on Sunday, the emphasis seems to be less on chaos, and more on healing and gaining deeper understanding. If at all possible, continue to reserve your energy as well as you can over the weeks ahead. You’ll be needing it more in September, when Mars returns again to your sign. In the mean time, the Solar Eclipse on Saturday is asking you to consider those things, people and circumstances that light up your life and bring you joy and happiness. We are all needing to recharge our batteries with a little more love and lightness in our lives. 

Pisces

If anyone is tuned into signs and omens, it is Pisces. Pay attention to those so called ‘coincidences’, those little nudges along the path. Those are your inner guidance system trying to lead you in a certain direction. Sometimes guidance can be subtle, emerging like a strong feeling. Other times it can be quite direct, in the form of an actual teacher or guide. Either way, it could feel like you are being called in some way. This may be to invest your goals with greater meaning and fulfillment, or to share a spiritual destiny with others. In the mean time, pay attention to your daily routines, and see if you can figure out a way to invest what you do with greater joy. Changing up your routine, even just a little, can add more life and a new perspective to your daily activities.
