Horoscopes: June 21st thru 28th

Summer Solstice at Stonehenge

For the week of June 21st thru the 28th, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:

Aries

The weekend could continue to have a few rough edges surrounding it, as we come off the difficult Mars aspects of last week. Depending on how you have conserved your energy, and avoided forcing situations beyond their endurance, you may or may not be licking a few wounds this weekend. Recognize that you are probably going to need to conserve some of that energy going forward, it is best not to overdo things if it can at all be helped. Moderation is key here. This may be particularly true with Neptune standing still for its retrograde station on the Solstice this week, which can in and of itself just exhaust and distract us all to ruination. Something like a leaky faucet. Therefore dare to take some time out this week to regain your bearings. Even if it means merely sitting, tuning out the outer commotion, and tuning in to that still quiet space, whichever way you can possibly manage it. Not easy for an Aries. But you will be grateful for the sense of renewal it brings

Taurus

Neptune stations on the Solstice this year, and does so while your ruling planet, Venus, forms a t-square with both Neptune and Jupiter. This looks like a t-square of wistful dreams and anticipatory hopes that stand at a precipice of waiting for the other shoe to drop. This is a picture of high hopes and disenchantment vying with one another, as you try to give the benefit of the doubt to the fulfillment of your aspirations. You may ask yourself: where have I place too high and unrealistic expectations? and what can I do to get myself back on track? The truth is, there is still hope here for a hopeful outcome. It just requires you to remember to keep your feet firmly planted on the ground, and to not make excuses or be in denial about the truth of a situation. Be wary of false promises. If something appears to be too good to be true, it probably is. Pay attention to what your needs are; what resources you do have at your disposal; and how these can best serve your intentions going forward.

Gemini

Some, having achieved what they thought were their goals, may now feel somewhat disenchanted as they see the lack of reality with having chosen that particular path. Some may feel totally at a loss, as if they have no idea what direction they want to go. That’s all Neptune, and Neptune stations this year on the day of the Solstice, digging in and reminding us to reevaluate our hopes and dreams. It may be that many of us have been wistfully longing for an ideal that has proven to be elusive. And it may be that we may not be able to attain perfection, but there still may be some possibilities lying ahead. But first we need to realign ourselves with what our true ideals are. That can include things like: what are those things that inspire you the most? What events and situations have brought the greatest meaning and purpose to you in your life? If you are honest with yourself, you may find that the answers are quite different from what you might have originally thought. Hence the caution to keep your feet firmly grounded, and to keep an open mind.

Cancer

The sign of Cancer falls on one of the 4 corners of the Solar Year, as we welcome in the season of Summer here in the North (and Winter in the Southern Hemisphere), on Friday, June 21st. We are winding down from the Full Moon on the 17th, and getting ready for the Summer Eclipses in July. But in the mean time there is already a hint of renewal and anticipation for what will be. The Summer Solstice is a time of power, but it is also a time of renewing our ties to home, family, community, heritage and culture. It is a time of fruition and anticipation of what may come. This year Neptune also stations retrograde on the Solstice, drawing Cancer to further seek some sort of higher meaning in their lives. This can be done in many ways, but there is an urge here to seek your heart’s center, to align yourself with your ideals, and seek truth and refuge in the ways that matter most to you. Right now many are filled with ambivalence. But hope is on the horizon, and connecting to your own inner truth, will keep you on the path in the mean time.

Leo

This time of year is often a time of withdrawal and reflection for Leo. It is a time to tie up any loose ends, and release the remnants of the previous year. It almost feels as if something new is emerging in the not too distant future, and being able to get all of your ducks in a row, will make the transition all that much easier. Neptune will station on the day of the Solstice this year, just asking us all to release and let go, as we move into the next season. Neptune is asking you to seek peace, and to be at peace with what is unfolding. It could have been feeling at times like your life has been unraveling; and there is a little bit of fear about the unknown; of what we leave behind. Have faith, that if you are one of those Leo’s whose life is changing right now, that it is doing so in subtle but very meaningful ways. Therefore Neptune retrograde is not just about releasing, but also about being open to receiving.

Virgo

Magical, mystical and elusive Neptune stations on the day of the Solstice this year. Whenever these great giants station, their influence is stronger, and sometimes even profound. All the more so, as Neptune is also making a strong planetary picture with Jupiter this year, drawing us in sometimes confounding directions as we try to get our bearings. Now that Neptune will be retrograde for most of the remainder of the year, it is time to align ourselves with the positive, more altruistic aspects of Neptune, while releasing those that undermine our effectiveness in the world. For Virgo that can include reevaluating partnerships and relationships, and being honest with yourself about who is benefitting you in achieving your ideals and happiness, and who may be leading you astray. Ask yourself, if you are truly seeing people for who they genuinely are. It is time for Virgo to partner with people who share the same ideals, who inspire and fill your life with beauty and meaning.

Libra

Your ruling planet, Venus, becomes entangled with Jupiter and Neptune this week, forming a t-square. And it does so just as Neptune is standing for its retrograde station. From this vantage point it could feel as if you are wistfully reaching for an ideal that you wish to make a closer reality, all the while recognizing that some things are just not practically achievable under the current circumstances. And so the advice for the week is to keep things real, and not allow yourself to become distracted from that which needs to be tended to now. This also means paying attention, and not allowing things to slide, or get away from you. This is a picture that may be great for vacations, and daydreams, but can distract from practical considerations. Do make some down time for mental health breaks, and to stop and smell the flowers. But also keep your eye on your goals, and what you need to do to achieve them. There is no escaping the consequence of either action or inaction at this point. Things that might benefit you going forward: cultivating a more spiritual and healthful lifestyle both within and without in your life.

Scorpio

An opposition between your ruling planets, Mars and Pluto, continues through the weekend. This is a transit of extreme determination, and even at times, brute force. Hence the advice last week to cultivate patience, and do your best to avoid potentially defensive situations. On the other hand, this same energy can be used to achieve even the most ambitious and extraordinary goals, though you may also exhaust yourself in the process. In order to avoid injury and regret, moderation is advised. However, there is also something to be said for being clear about your own point of view, and what you know. At least to yourself. This may come in handy as Neptune stations this week. That clarity of opinion, knowledge and view, will help you to make sense of why you make the choices you do, and help to make better choices going forward. One goal post to keep in mind: what would you say best serves you as your inner muse and inspiration?

Sagittarius

Perhaps the most important transit for Sagittarius this year, has been the Jupiter/Neptune square. All the more so, because Jupiter, your ruling planet, is strong in its own sign of Sagittarius. This is when Sagittarius is being urged to expand your horizons, your hopes and your dreams, in order to embrace a new vision. And this may come even as it becomes apparent that the way forward is fraught with unexpected disappointments, and maybe a few twists and turns. The key here has been about keeping your feet firmly planted on the ground, and being willing to be flexible as needed. It may yet be some time to totally fulfill your dreams. Just realize it may not look exactly like you had originally hoped, as more practical considerations have to also be included as well. In the mean time, with Neptune station this week, visualize what your ideal life and lifestyle would look like for you: then search for way s to make that a closer possibility going forward. It may be simpler than you realize.

Capricorn

There are ideals. There are even hopes and dreams. But every Capricorn worth their grit knows that if you don’t put in the hard work, you’re not going to get anywhere. This is where Capricorn has the advantage, both this year and next. This year, because your ruling planet Saturn is strong and certain and determined to recreate your life on a firmer foundation; and next year because Jupiter is going to get practical in Capricorn as well. Right now, however, with Neptune stationing and square Jupiter in Sagittarius, even Capricorn could be surprised at how much is involved in making a dream a closer reality. Whatever you do, don’t allow any setbacks to fill you with self-doubt. If things were too easy, you probably wouldn’t fully appreciate it any way. Just remember, the more work you put in this year, the greater the rewards will be in the future.

Aquarius

With the Solstice on Friday, Aquarius will be entering a month of strict organization, purging and reevaluating. At times there may even be some hard decisions to make. However, this is not for nothing. A new and exciting stage of your life is opening up. And although it may feel a little hectic at times, it is serving an ultimate purpose that should bring you to a better place in your life. In the mean time, this week elusive and ambiguous Neptune stations retrograde in Pisces, reminding you of why you are doing all this, and what your priorities actually are. You may be wondering where your next dollar is going to come from; or if you can realistically follow through with your plans. But there is something else motivating you now, and that has more to do with quality of life, rather than quantity. What would you be willing to sacrifice in order to live a more meaningful life? And how can you bring your current lifestyle more in alignment with your ideals? There are just some things that simply don’t have a price tag.

Pisces

This year, your modern ruling planet, Neptune, stations retrograde on the day of the Solstice. And as it does so, it is also making an exact square to your traditional ruling planet, Jupiter. This will be particularly relevant to all Pisces, as they stand at a turning point in their lives, trying to decide between the better, and the dearer. There are dreams to be had, and hopes to be fulfilled. But then there is reality, and the wolf blatantly knocking at the door. This doesn’t necessarily mean giving up on your hopes and dreams, but it may mean that there may be a better way, or a more effective way of fulfilling them. That requires a bit of honesty as well as practicality. And it may also require letting go of one dream, in order to fulfill another. All this will become more obvious over time. But for now, be content to release what once was, while being open to alternatives, and dreams that have yet to come.
