“Scorpio” by Johfra Bosschart

For the New Moon at 9º  of Scorpio, check out your natal Sun sign and Rising sign, and the natal house where 9ª of Scorpio falls in your natal chart, if you know it:

Aries

(8th House) The New Moon on November 1st is asking you to look for ways to transform and improve your life in whatever way will allow you to live your own best life. It may take a certain amount of courage, will and determination to make that happen. And perhaps even a little chutzpah. Is there some area of your life that is in vast need of improvement? And is there something that you an do about it?  A good intention for Aries with the Scorpio New Moon might be: I am powerful and strong, and capable of overcoming even the most daunting of challenges. Even if the thunder rolls and spreads terror a hundred miles around, Aries will still remain undaunted. Tell yourself that you’ve got this. Then go out there and show them how this is done. Some initiatives for the New Moon in Scorpio could be: replacing self-defeating behaviors and habits, with new and better ones; committing to a program of rehabilitation, or renewal; taking on a project to renovate or rebuild; paying off old debts; freeing yourself up from old agreements or obligations that are no longer serving you, and might even be preventing you from growing. Getting rid of subscriptions you no longer need or use. Recycle, re-use and repurpose.

Taurus

(7th House) The New Moon in Scorpio is significant to Taurus because it serves as something of a turning point in the year. This is when you can look back on the previous 6 months and see what you have accomplished, and what more you might want to do looking forward. This particular New Moon also has something of a healing quality, that almost seems to say, that from out of the stress of the doing, can be found the peace of the done. Scorpio is a sign of partnership for Taurus, and in this regard there is a further commitment to those alliances and fellowships that can be formed when working in common cause. Therefore a good intention for the New Moon on November 1st might be: May I gather only the best allies, who will walk with me and support me along my path. But perhaps one of the most significant benefits that the New Moon can bring is the understanding that you can achieve when looking at a situation from another person’s perspective. This is a good week to therefore: seek some sort of advice or guidance from someone who inspires you, and/or can help you to make positive changes in your life; committing or re-committing to a partnership or meeting new people who share a commonality of perception; trying something new in the company of others that will motivate you in a positive and life-affirming way.

Gemini

(6th House) Mercury enters Sagittarius this weekend, but just before it does so, it will aim to tie up some loose ends, and bring an ongoing challenge to some sort of closure, once and for all. However, once it enters Sagittarius it could feel as if all sorts of avenues are opening up in front of you all at once, and you will be hard pressed to pick and choose what might be next on the agenda, or what you will want to focus on. This will be something of a trend over the next few months, even as you are being asked to make some sort of commitment with the New Moon on November 1st, and not give up. A good affirmation for the New Moon might be: I accept my current path and outcomes, knowing that this is precisely where I need to be right now. The New Moon in Scorpio can often feel a little intense. This one is a little more driven. Use it and use it well. Some things the New Moon might be good for: reorganizing your environment and work space to allow you to work more efficiently; investing your daily routines with a sense of renewal and purpose. Making a commitment to change up your routines, address a habit, or begin a new diet or exercise regimen; even small changes can have a remarkable impact on your long-term health and well-being when the New Moon is in Scorpio and trine Saturn, the planet of commitment.

Cancer

(5th House) Whatever major choices you’ve been pondering, or challenges you may be taking on, know that a sense of self-empowerment arises when you commit to a path that you know is right for you. Use the momentum of the New Moon in Scorpio on Friday to discover what it might mean for you to have more joy in you life. To rediscover your passions, and open your heart in some compelling way. Reacquaint yourself with your own inner child, and look for ways to recapture the sort of wonder and imagination that allows you to look at the world through the lens of possibility. A good intention for this New Moon might be: I want to see myself making the sort of commitments that will bring back wonder and inspiration into my life. The New Moon is trying to inspire you to find some form of personal expression that will allow the world to see what is truly unique and special about yourself. Something that you thoroughly relate to and identify with. This is a good Moon to: Learn or try something new, fun and daring; Meet someone new; revisit a hobby that you once loved so well; answer a calling; or commit to a new hobby that challenges you in some wondrous way.

Leo

(4th House) The New Moon on November 1st is a Moon of commitment. So much so, that you might find it hard to compromise. Positively, you can use this energy to plot out a plan, get more organized, and prepare yourself for next steps that are coming up. For when Mars enters your sign at the end of this weekend, any plans that had been brewing behind the scenes are getting ready to be launched. And lord help anyone who tries to stand in your way. Once you tie up all the loose ends, all engines will be primed and ready for the next big phase of your life. Use the New Moon to create a plan of action. Something is calling you, and it won’t be denied. There may be some challenges in getting some things started, but you are primed for this. A good affirmation for this New Moon might be: I want to see myself releasing those things that no longer serve the person I am becoming, so that I can plant the seeds that are needed for my future to come. The sorts of initiatives that would work with the New Moon in Scorpio might be: Any necessary adjustments or renovations to your home and home environment; Spruce things up, clear out the cobwebs and clutter; This is a time of renewal, therefore make any repairs or necessary renovations in your personal life, home or personal environment; If you’ve been wanting to make a move, or any improvements at home or within the family, this is a good moon to work with.

Virgo

(3rd House) You can just feel the changing tides, which could appear to be blowing a little more briskly than previously anticipated. Your ruling planet, Mercury, enters Sagittarius on Sunday, bringing you along for the ride. This is a sign of vast possibilities, but can also be weak about setting limits. Therefore be wary of attempting to take on more than you can handle, or you will find yourself utterly exhausted over the next few months, as you find yourself hurrying and scurrying to get everything done. And yet the joy of connecting with others can also prove to be a welcome treat. So do go out and greet the world, while keeping a wary eye on your schedule. The New Moon in Scorpio is asking you to consider helpful ways of becoming more organized and efficient with your routines and schedule. And to be able to say No when you need to. Therefore a good affirmation for the New Moon might be in the words of Eleanor Roosevelt: “Those years, weeks, hours, are the sands in the glass running swiftly away… To use them to the hilt, making them count for something, is the beginning of wisdom.”  Use the New Moon to: Organize your mind; Create a plan; Organize your daily life; Create new routines; Commit to a new course of study; Listen to a new podcast; Learn something new; Engage in penetrating discussions on matters that are important to you. Even ordinary conversations could prove to be more compelling than usual in Scorpio season.

Libra

(2nd House) One thing the New Moon in Scorpio on November 1st might be showing you, are the areas of your life that you may have been neglecting. Recognizing where and when you need to set appropriate boundaries will help you to navigate some of the trickier weather ahead. The Scorpio New Moon helps you to establish where you would most want to invest your valuable time, money and resources in the foreseeable future. But first you need to be clear with yourself about what your true priorities are, and where the cycle of reciprocity may have become imbalanced or eroded. Make the affirmation with the New Moon on Friday to: Embrace and honor the sacred cycle of reciprocity; giving without expectation, while also gratefully receiving from others. And if there are any adjustments that are needing to be made within the ebb and flow of the cycle of giving and receiving, this is the Moon to work with. Even if that means having to say no or use restraint when you need to. Use the New Moon in Scorpio to: sort out your finances, balance your budget, and get a clearer picture of what is needed for the foreseeable future; Make any adjustments due to changes that have come to your attention; Look to see if there are more efficient ways of sorting out your obligations; Look for ways to increase your self-worth and bolster up your self-confidence; Note that even small changes in this weather can have remarkable results in the long run.

Scorpio

(1st House) Every year at the New Moon in Scorpio, you are given an opportunity for renewal, and the motivation to begin new initiatives. This will be true for all Scorpios, but this Moon will be especially strong for those Scorpios born between October 29th thru November 4th, or who have 6-12º of Scorpio Rising. Transformative and empowering, the New Moon in Scorpio is asking you to think in terms of making deeper commitments to those people and things supporting your sense of self and your own well-being. This can include committing to a new health and wellness plan, joining the gym, or other programs aimed towards self-improvement. With your ruling planet Mars opposing Pluto this week, you are being invested with the courage and determination to take the reins of your life into your own hands. Use the New Moon on November 1st to set the affirmation: I am profound and have depths of potential as yet unrealized. It would not be unusual to want to take on some sort of challenge with this moon, or to make a commitment for the sole purpose of self-renewal. Use the New Moon in Scorpio to: Reacquaint yourself with yourself; revisit an old hobby or something you once loved so well; make yourself, your health and your well-being a priority; commit to a program of strength training; get a makeover; Make a statement about who you are.

Sagittarius

(12th House) Mercury enters your sign this weekend, but not without tying up some loose ends first. It seems that there are some things that are needing closure and completion. However, once Mercury enters Sagittarius, you could find yourself wanting to be more socially engaged, and reaching out to others. Just know what your limits are, and know when your dance card is full. This will continue all the way through to early January. So pace yourself. But before you get there, the New Moon in Scorpio on Friday, November 1st, is showing you what needs to be released and/or let go of. A good intention for this Moon might be: I want to easily see myself letting go of the past in order to prepare the way for a new beginning. This is often the time of year in which Sagittarius normally retires from the hubbub of the world in order to reflect back on the year that was. This is also when you normally recoup your energy in preparation for the holiday season ahead. So any premature social calls may interfere with your ability to do so. Therefore also know when you simply need to say No. This will change when the Sun enters your sign on November 21st. Until then use the momentum from the New Moon in Scorpio to: sort out the pieces of your life; Tie up any loose ends, clear out the clutter that has been taking up too much space in your mind. Doing this good work will make room for new threads to be able to take root. Use the discrimination of the New Moon in Scorpio to sort through any new ideas or initiatives that you have been considering, in order to know which of these you will most want to commit to.

Capricorn

(11th House) There have likely been times over the past 16 years in which you probably found yourself struggling against forces over which it seemed you had little control. The hands of fate seemed to be taking over your life. However, the New Moon in Scorpio on November 1st is trying to show you the ways in which you have learned how powerful you really are and can be. Pluto in your sign these past so many years was a force of self-transformation. As a result of all this growth, you probably have also found that some of your dreams and aspirations for the future have also evolved in order to accommodate the person that you now are.The New Moon in Scorpio is your wishing moon. And this year it is asking you to make yet one more update. For the hopes and wishes of your former self may no longer be relevant for who you are now. Therefore be clear with yourself about who you are and what your most genuine self wants and expects from your future life and aspirations. Use the New Moon on Friday, November 1st to make the affirmation that: When I embrace my own power, I become an instrument for positive change in the world and in my own life. Then on the New Moon on Friday, take pen in hand, and think of the myriad dreams, hopes and wishes that you might wish to accomplish this year. Make them positive. Make them powerful. Then cast them out into the universe, knowing that when the causes and conditions arise, you will be ready for them.

Aquarius

(10th House) The New Moon in Scorpio each year presents opportunities to revisit your goals for the future. From out of the hidden shadows of the New Moon in Scorpio you are being asked to embrace your own power. This may seem contradictory right now. For often when Pluto first enters one’s sign, as it will with you later this month, the first things we become aware of are the things we don’t have any power over. But ultimately this can and will be about recognizing and owning your own capacity to be able to totally transform your life. And the New Moon in Scorpio is asking you to do so as well. There are tremendous forces at work here. Therefore set the affirmation with the New Moon on Friday, November 1st that: Out of the ashes of what once was, I have the ability to create a better and more meaningful future. The New Moon in Scorpio is the Moon that Aquarius uses to gaze into the future, to commit to new goals, and consider what opportunities exist, and the direction you see yourself heading. This is a Moon of future possibilities. Use the New Moon to: Create a plan for the future; Set goals that you would like to see yourself achieve this year. And consider the sorts of changes or transformations in your life that you might like to see yourself making in the future.

Pisces

(9th House) The New Moon in Scorpio on November 1st is trying to point you towards the fulfillment of your true potential. This can occur simply by being willing to open up your perspective. Perhaps just enough to better understand the world and your role in it. For Pisces, the New Moon in Scorpio can be an opportunity to make sure that you are on the right path. If you are, then you will receive confirmation for this. If not, then you will be thinking about what needs to be adjusted in order to get you back on track. Therefore a good intention for this New Moon might be: May I receive the guidance I need in order to more easily recognize my true path. This is the time of year in which Pisces is looking toward the future, as well as the roads that lead there. With the New Moon trine Saturn, the planet of commitment and planning, you may even want to use this Moon to map out a plan of action for the year ahead. Some other things that the New Moon on Friday might be good for are: Exploring where you want to go from here, and how you might get there; Finding out if you need a license for that, or some sort of accreditation; Should you take a class or training? What more do you need to know, and where do you need to sign up for the right sort of experience? Seek guidance and advice from those who have been there. And be open to considering the advice that you are given.
