Horoscopes: March 15th thru the 22nd
For the week of March 15th thru the 22nd, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Aries
As the first sign of the zodiac, whenever the Sun enters Aries at the Equinox, we are setting the tone for the year ahead. For this is the Sun’s birthday. Or as e e cummings reminds us: “the birth day of life and love and wings and of the gay great happening illimitably earth.” And when we put ourselves in alignment with that annual rebirth, we are then given our own resurgence of new energy, life and love. And now that we are entering your season, in what ways are you needing to exude your fullest, boldest Aries self? Are you needing more courage to live out loud? What is the statement that you are wanting to make of yourself this year? What ideals are percolating on the back burner of your life, and just waiting to be put into application? Whatever new birthday resolutions you set for yourself do it from the heart, and do it with passion. Be bold, be decisive. And be the person that you would be most proud to be.
Taurus
Taurus often gives this impression of resolute calm while basking in the swaying grass of a sun-filled field. And they manage this even in the midst of turmoil. What we don’t usually see is the underlying passion that is keeping the hearth fires aflame beneath the surface. We get glimpses of that passion and sensual fire in moments away from the usual commotion of life. Hiding from behind the curtain, she exhibits this inner fire and hidden passions only with those that she fully trusts. Lucky us when we get to know the inner you. It’s enough to stir the cockles of our hearts. So each year at the Equinox you are asked to revisit your passions, to unlock your heart, and connect with your deepest and most heart felt desires. This is what drives you and motivates you to keep going. Make it a point this week to commit to investing all that you do with the sparks created from the kindling used to stoke those flames in your heart.
Gemini
At the Aries Equinox Gemini is asked to invest the upcoming solar year with what dreams may come. When you look at the sky, you can see a vastness that stretches from horizon to horizon. The potential of our dreams can be something like that. Vast and as limitless as the sky. Therefore cast your net out into space in order to bring some of that vast potential into being. If you were to seed your hopes for the next Solar Year, what dreams would you dare to make manifest. What dreams do you want to see grow? Remember, the dream for you is just the beginning. It’s what motivates you to bigger and better things. After you have netted you next best dream, search for the tools that you have available to you, to make that potential a closer reality. Mercury/Chiron are also here this week to remind you of the importance and meaning of words. It’s not just what you say, but how you say it that matters.
Cancer
The Aries Equinox on March 19th arrives on the heels of the first quarter moon exactly square the planet Neptune. In some way we are all being asked to turn down the noise as we approach the Equinox. Like the quiet before the storm, we are needing to look within and look back. This will be especially helpful if you have been plagued recently by momentary confusion and uncertainty. We’re being reminded as we make our way through the last degrees of Pisces season that this is not quite the right time to be making major decisions. We are too subsumed with what we want to see, we are too distracted by the ephemeral lights of illusion. And you will want to see things clearly before making any major commitments as we move into the new solar year. What the days leading up to the equinox are good for: mystical, magical, and creative dream work. Your imagination is rich and strong. Then take the incentive and motivation from that rich inner world, and seed it into the New Solar Year and the Aries Ingress. There’s no telling what creative ideas you can then give birth to.
Leo
Before we get to the Aries Equinox on the 19th/20th next week, we are going to have to navigate the deep and compelling waters of the last degrees of Pisces. Deeply compelling and utterly distracting it will be all you can do to keep on point. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself lost in the land of wonder and daydreams. And if you can’t beat them, join them, and go along with the flow. This is the stuff of what dreams are made of, and will inspire you for ever better things in the long run. Just be prepared, for no sooner does the Sun enter the fiery domain of Aries, then it will feel as if you are able to emerge from the cave of your own making. And when that happens it will suddenly dawn on you, that there is a whole world of possibility out there just waiting to be discovered. A sense of empowerment arises when we find our place in the scheme of things.
Virgo
Words can wound, but they can also heal. And words can also give a voice to those who are ostracized or silence, or who simply do not have a voice of their own. How we use our words this week, whether to speak with your own voice, or to give a voice to others, can prove to be quite significant and meaningful. It can also serve to inspire you to ever greater things in the future. For once you realize the power of your voice, there is no taking that back. Each year the Aries Equinox is a time for Virgo to invest what they do with a sense of transformative renewal and even reformation. What needs reforming in your life? What needs to be revamped, rebuilt, or demolished and redone all over again? There is something absolutely giddy about discovering your own inner power to make a difference in the world. Therefore use that power well.
Libra
At the Aries Equinox each year, Libra is asked to look about them and notice that bright and inspiring lights that urge you on to ever better things. People who are passionate, and filled with vibrant enthusiasm, and who are capable of opening you up to new ways of being that you might not have previously even considered. Who are those who inspire you, and get you motivated? Who might you want to use as an example of what you might want to further cultivate in your own life? Who are the brightest lights in your life right now? And then use the Venus/Saturn conjunction on the 21st to make a commitment to follow through with those inspirations. It may take some work, and maybe a few sacrifices, some self-control, lots of hard-earned wisdom, and a willingness to set appropriate limits, but it could all prove to be worth it in the end.
Scorpio
Wherever Aries falls in our natal charts is where we begin. Using whole sign houses, the Aries house for Scorpio is the 6th House of Health, Wellness, and Occupation. Often referred to as the house of Work and Service, notice I referred to it as Occupation, which also includes things like our daily routines, things we need to do, any useful skills that we are able to offer (in helpful service) to others. Things that keep us busy and occupied on a daily basis. Which also includes what we do to support our health and well-being. This is why many a Scorpio will put all of their energy into their work. It’s because that is also where they receive a lot of their energy and motivation for everything else that goes on in their lives. This will be especially so if you also have a passion for what you do. And here at the Aries Equinox Scorpio is being asked to begin their day asking themselves, “what useful thing can I accomplish this day?” and “what new and exciting venture can I begin today that will also support my energy, health and well being?”
Sagittarius
The March 3rd Jupiter/Neptune semi-square is not only important to you because Jupiter is the ruling planet of Sagittarius, but it is also important to all of us this year because Jupiter is so closely invested with the Aries Equinox. This is like the birthday of the Sun, and sets the tone for the whole year ahead. So having your ruling planet so closely aligned with the ingress chart, also pushes you to be front and center. And that includes pushing your health and well-being, and all those things that support your well-being, front and center in your life. This may require a few adjustments. And perhaps a few reminders. Including that this is one area of your life this year that you do not want to ignore. Sagittarius thrives when they indulge in the things that bring them joy, and lets them live their own best life. But in order to do so, you need to be fit as a fiddle. So whether you are traveling to the ends of the earth, or dancing into the night, you’ll want to make sure that you are totally equipped to do so.
Capricorn
Each year at the Aries Equinox the emphasis returns once again to all of the foundations of your life. Do you have a roof over your head? Are all of your support systems in place? And although you prefer to be emotionally independent for the most part, who are the people you can go to when you do need them? Having all of these foundations in place and secured, allows Capricorn to go out into the world and fight the good fight. And not having to think about all these things is tremendously helpful. It is also about having some place to go to in order to recharge your batteries. So each year Capricorn returns home to take charge, lay down all the rules, and make sure that they are well orchestrated. For when things are all in harmony in your personal domain, then everything else in your life will run like a well-oiled machine. In the mean time: thinking about making a new start, perfecting a skill, or learning something useful? This might be a good time to consider honing up your knowledge in some way. Think about investing in yourself, your knowledge, your skills and your future.
Aquarius
Now that Pluto is in your sign, themes about reinvention, renewal, and rebirth will be coming up again and again this year. For some, especially those born in the early degrees of the sign, this may even involve totally revamping your life all over again. And this particular quarter of the year, has a distinct focus on self-improvement. That includes making yourself healthier, stronger, and more of a force to be reckoned with, either in your personal life or abroad in the world. But self-improvement, especially for Aquarius, can also be about becoming better informed, and learning about newer, better and brighter technological advances and ideas. Now that Pluto is in Aquarius, and Jupiter is about to transit your ruling planet Uranus, we’re all keyed up with anticipation for some great new innovative advances in the areas of science, technology and in the arts. And we’re depending on the Aquarius crowd to be wading along the shore of the next new wave, whatever that may be.
Pisces
The March 3rd Jupiter/Neptune semi-square is not only important to you because Jupiter and Neptune are the ruling planets of Pisces, but it is also important to all of us this year because Jupiter and Neptune are so closely invested with the Aries Equinox on March 19th. The Equinox is like the Sun’s birthday, and so sets the tone for the whole year ahead. So having your ruling planets so close to the Sun in the Ingress chart, could push all things Pisces front and center. There is something dreamy and idealistic, wistfully hoping for a brighter future, no matter what. Pisces are guided by their idealistic notions, and the more confident they are in their ideals, the more confident they are in themselves. When the Sun enters Aries with the Equinox on March 19th, this is when Pisces reminds themselves of what their true priorities are. And the more closely you can align yourself with what those priorities are, the more certain you are of what your next steps will be.
