Horoscopes: May 17th thru the 24th

For the week of May 17th thru the 24th, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:

Aries

This weekend Mars will make a conjunction to the North Node in Aries, asking you to take certain actions that will lead you towards your life’s objectives. The North Node in your sign has been trying to wake you up to your life’s purpose… perhaps a calling, perhaps helping to fulfill your destiny. And having Mars in your sign as well has been pushing you to step through any door that is opening up in front of you, and take center stage. This will be followed by the fiery and adventurous Full Moon in Sagittarius, which is asking all of us to dream our dreams, and dream big. It could even show you what you need to do in order to make sure that you are truly on the right path. Take stock with this illuminating Full Moon on May 23rd to see what is being revealed to you. For once you see something you can never unsee it again. And if you did get off course, this is an opportunity to get back on track and reassess the direction you life has been taking up until now.

Taurus

The Full Moon on May 23rd coincides with an exact conjunction between your ruling planet, Venus, and expansive and celebratory Jupiter, while also sextile dreamy and intuitive Neptune. We are all being asked to follow our dreams, and listen to that inner intuitive voice that comes in the silence spaces of our lives. For it is trying to lead us where we need to be. With the Full Moon in Sagittarius, Taurus is being shown things that were previously hidden. These may be things that you had been ignoring, or not paying attention to. Or maybe they were just hidden from view. But little stays hidden for long with the Full Moon in Sagittarius. Something that you could become aware of is what you are needing to divest yourself of in order to be able to further grow and expand your confidence and self-worth. But do note that there is also something magical and wondrous about this Full Moon that feels steeped in mysticism and wonder. It’s drawing you to look more deeply beneath the surface to discover gifts that you had not realized before, and might have even taken for granted.

Gemini

This weekend will still find you in purging mode, getting rid of that which weighs you down and clutters up the closets as well as your mental space. Doing this cleansing ritual with the Mercury in Taurus is essential for when all of the planets begin to pile into your sign, as they will this week and next. If your birthday falls on or around the Full Moon on May 23rd, or have 0-6º of Gemini Rising, you will be all the more sensitive to the expansive nature of this moon, that can bring things to a welcome conclusion. Astrologically, birthdays, or when the Sun crosses the Ascendant, are like new beginnings. But when a Full Moon falls on or near your birthday, the new beginnings you are hoping to make, may also require you to bring an old order to a final completion. This can be a good thing. Such as bringing the conclusion to a dry spell in your life, opening up all sorts of doors that you had not previously anticipated. You are being freed up in order to be able to live a life that aims to exceed your previous expectations.

Cancer

Full Moons are always an opportunity for Cancer to check in with where they are now. And the Full Moon in Sagittarius is when you are able to see the results of any efforts made to either improve a health situation, or within your daily life. If you are happy with the results of previous efforts, there may even be reasons to celebrate. If not, what positive changes or adjustments can you make to get you back on track? This is when you are able to look at these things more objectively. Full Moons can be illuminating. They shine a light, even in the darkest corners of your life, allowing you to see things in a whole new way, or to become aware of things that had previously been hidden from view. And even if nothing spectacular arises within the ambit of the Full Moon, that too can be reason to celebrate. For there is nothing quite so vindicating as receiving confirmation that you are precisely where you need to be, and doing precisely what you are supposed to be doing.

Leo

The Full Moon in Sagittarius arrives each year to remind you to allow yourself to shine in all your glory. This is often when you are likely to receive some sort of kudos or rewards for a job well done, or become recognized for a certain talent or ability you have. Bask in the glory of who you are. Sagittarius is a sign that asks us to reach beyond our usual limits, and this one takes it that much further, in order to live a life filled with meaning. Full Moons can also bring a project to a well-received completion, or shine a spotlight on something else you’ve been working on. Illuminating and culminating Full Moons can also bring something to your attention that you had not previously realized. Including your own feelings. There is an openness to Full Moons. Everything can come out. You will be wearing your heart on your sleeve, and it will be all you can do to keep your feelings to yourself. Everything feels larger than life with this Moon. And nothing remains hidden for long in the light of this glorious and expansive Full Moon.

Virgo

Virgo continues to set limits, both with yourselves and others, throughout the weekend. But then it could feel as if a whole new world of possibilities are opening up. Even as all your feelings are being laid bare for the world to see. Nothing remains hidden long with the Full Moon in Sagittarius on May 23rd. That includes just about everything. Including your innermost feelings. Full Moons are often emotional, and this one could be even more so. As a result you may decide that you need to spend more time at home, nurturing your relationships with loved ones and family members. We can search the world over in order to find deeper meaning and understanding. But sometimes the answer is a lot closer to home than we realize. And sometimes it’s not so much about the vast horizons, as it is about the small things that bring ever deeper meaning into our lives. And if you want to make your mark in the outer world, knowing that your inner world is in good order can make all the difference.

Libra

The days leading up to the Full Moon on the 23rd could be littered with all sorts of unexpected detours. Be prepared to change up plans or priorities. Something that has been taking up a bit of your attention may need to be waylaid. And probably gratefully so. We may all have reason to gleefully celebrate before the week is through. There’s nothing quite like a Venus/Jupiter conjunction to highlight an expansive moon, like the Full Moon in Sagittarius. This is the sort of Moon that can make dreams come true, to spread broadcast your feelings that have been yearning and churning beneath the surface, and now is being given a platform to express itself. It’s an opportunity to give voice to what you’ve been holding on to for so long. Full Moons have this way of bringing everything to the surface, and with that come all sorts of things: feelings, memories, and even some surprising realizations about yourself and what you believe to be true. Ask questions of yourself and others, and be prepared for a change of heart, for the answer that you receive, what you hear, and what you learn can prove to be illuminating.

Scorpio

The Full Moon in Sagittarius is shining a light on your resources, your priorities, and all those things that you value, possess, or may desire. This is a time of year in which Scorpio will reassess how they spend their money and what exactly you are spending your valuable time and resources on, and whether or not it is fully appreciated. But perhaps more importantly this moon is asking you how well you value what you have to offer to others. There could be an inclination towards a little indulgence with this moon. Emotions come to the surface, and when addressing your needs vs. the needs of others, there could also be an inclination towards retail therapy. And it will be very difficult to say No. Rather than recklessly spending hither and yon, cast a ritual of abundance to celebrate the Full Moon in Sagittarius on May 23rd. Pick one small item that you know you really really want, and gift that to yourself. Think of it as a symbolic gesture of all of the abundance that you would wish to embrace in your life moving forward. Then with the utmost gratitude, send that same wish out to others, that they may also benefit from your generosity.

Sagittarius

On May 23rd, we have a Full Moon in your sign, which falls at almost 3º of Sagittarius, and will most affect those who have their Sun, Moon or Ascendant at or around this degree (or are born between November 22nd and the 28th). However, all Sagittarians will feel themselves basking in the light of this expansive Full Moon. All the more so these days with so much activity with your ruling planet Jupiter, now poised to change signs on May 25th. It is not unusual for attention to be drawn to yourself when the Full Moon falls in your sign. You are being seen, as if a spotlight were shining right on you. And you can now see the results of certain actions previously set in motion. Are you happy about where you are? Are you being brought to where you intended to go? And are there any adjustments that you might want to make in the mean time? The Full Moon has the capacity to even change the way that you see yourself, and help you to make sense of the direction you are heading if you stay the course that you are currently on. Pay attention to other’s reactions to you, or how you are being treated, for that can speak volumes about the ways that you are being seen in the world.

Capricorn

All things are revealed in the light of the Full Moon, even those secret and hidden yearnings of the soul. Even things that were previously hidden, lost or forgotten. And even things that were secreted away, or deliberately hidden from you. As a result of what is being revealed you may come to see things differently, allowing you to make better and more informed decisions. Even if it is not necessarily what you wanted to know or see. The Full Moon in Sagittarius on May 23rd, even has the capacity to bring back memories and denizens from the distant past. And like ghosts from a past that you have long since outgrown they might try to insinuate themselves back into your life. If that is the case, the Full Moon this week is here to remind you that you are now free of a past that no longer has any hold over you. And you are free to live your own best life. Use the Full Moon in Sagittarius to release any old tendrils of attachment to a past that is no longer relevant for the life you have now. It’s time to clear out the last remnants of what once was, in order to more fully embrace your present life and the life to come.

Aquarius

There is something both expansive and deeply transformative about the Full Moon in Sagittarius on May 23rd. It could even fulfill a cherished hope or dream. The Full Moon in Sagittarius is often when Aquarius will receive rewards or accolades for what they have accomplished. Like a strobe light shining a beam over the proceedings, it can feel as if you are finally being seen and acknowledged. Even the most simple changes and moments of recognition can bring an element of enchantment and bliss with the Full Moon this year. If that is the case, totally embrace it. For what is happening is that you are indeed being freed up for ever better things to come. Even if it does not appear to be so at first, the Full Moon is figuring out how to bring you where you need to be in order to be in a better place to fulfill your hopes and wishes. Be prepared to have things revealed that could totally change or update the picture.

Pisces

On the same day as the Full Moon in Sagittarius, your ruling planets, Jupiter and Neptune will perfect a sextile, with lovely Venus smiling on all the proceedings. Jupiter/Neptune weather can be extremely subtle in their effects, but also extremely meaningful in their application. And together they aim to show you the lessons that can be gathered from the experiences of the previous year. And one of the things that you may have come to realize is that there are ever greater depths to things than first meets the eye. The Full Moon in Sagittarius is often a time of year for Pisces to shine, receive rewards and attention. And as you stand there in the light of the Moon on May 23rd, you are given the opportunity to assess the outcomes of the experiences and decisions made over the previous year. Is this where you had hoped to be by now? Be prepared to have your perspective changed by what is being brought out into the light with the Full Moon. It’s not necessarily about making changes at this time, as it is to reach a deeper understanding of where and how you are poised to grow over the year ahead.
