The Full Snow Moon of February

February 7th ~ 14th

I am not what I ought to be, I am not what I want to be, I am not what I hope to be in another world; but still I am not what I once used to be, and by the grace of God I am what I am. ~ John Newton

Depending on where you are in the world, there is a Full Moon either on February 8th or 9th. The Full Moon in Leo stands as a bookend to the New Moon in Aquarius in late January. Look for the Full Snow Moon the night of February 8th. It will reach its highest point in the sky at about midnight. Full Moons are times of culmination, when we see the results of causes, decisions, and actions that were previously set in motion. This is their fruition and their harvest time. Those who will feel this Full Moon most strongly are the signs Leo and Aquarius, especially those born around the 20th degree of these signs. But we are all going to feel the Moon in some area of our lives. Things are revealed, something comes to a conclusion, or reaches a point of crisis.

Because the Full Moon is in Leo, if the Moon is prominent in your chart, you will be brought front and center, or basking in the spotlight (for the good or the ill). Or if you are more of the retiring sort, you may be running away from the spotlight in order to avoid criticism and attention. Who wants to be stalked by trolls and the paparazzi? There can also be an abundance of unwanted attention at these Moons. Many people who were in the spotlight last week happened to have planets at these degrees including: Rush Limbaugh (Mars/Pluto opposition); Nancy Pelosi (Venus/Uranus conjunction); and Mitch McConnell (Mars/Saturn conjunction).

Play, dance, laugh and allow yourself to be entertained. Some even have granted this Moon Supermoon status. Though not the closest Super Full Moon of the year (that would be April’s Full Moon), it comes within less than two days from the Moon’s closest point in its orbit around the Earth. You may even dare to show off a little in the light of this Superlative Full Moon. Be proud of who you are. And be proud to have your accomplishments stand on their own merit, whatever they may be. You are who you are.

If we sowed our intentions well with the New Moon in January, the most astounding rewards we receive in the light of the Leo Full Moon, are due to having the courage to follow our own truth, honor our own unique brand, whatever it may be. Let everyone know exactly who you are and what you stand for.

Now that Jupiter has entered Capricorn, it will soon meet up with Pluto. One of the attributes and prerequisites of Jupiter/Pluto is to connect with our conscience, and to act from that basis. Major conversions and transformations have occurred in people’s lives as a result of that still small voice of conscience coming to the foreground. Over the coming weeks, Jupiter will first perfect its sextile to Neptune, which was expressed so exquisitely by Piscean, Mitt Romney, this past week: “… my promise before God to apply impartial justice require that I put my personal feelings and political biases aside. Were I to ignore the evidence that has been presented and disregard what I believe my oath and the Constitution demands of me for the sake of a partisan end, it would, I fear, expose my character to history’s rebuke and the censure of my own conscience.”

Jupiter and Neptune, the co-rulers of Pisces, are asking us all to come to realize our own spiritual truths, and to live them with conviction, not in name only. We are all being asked this year: How can you best support your beliefs and spiritual path in your daily life? How can you walk the walk as well as talk the talk? How can you bring yourself, your life, your actions, your decisions, more in alignment with your ideals, and yes, your conscience?
