Horoscopes: October 26th thru November 2nd
For the week of October 26th thru November 2nd be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Aries
Retrograde Venus returns to Libra later this week for some unfinished business in the areas of fairness, justice and equanimity. And there may be some enlightening and perhaps even sudden and unexpected events that serve as a catalyst towards wanting to achieve these ends. The days before Venus returns to Libra could be overshadowed with feelings of financial insecurity and waiting for the other shoe to drop. These past few weeks have probably not been the best time over all financially. But what this time is good for is reevaluating your priorities, and becoming very clear about what exactly you do need, as well as what you want. This might be a good week for one of those pros and cons lists that allows you to seriously choose between what is best for you, taking into consideration both necessity and comfort. It is important to be honest about what your priorities are, and how you can then better cultivate these in your life.
Taurus
Venus makes its inferior conjunction with the Sun on Friday, marking the beginning of the next 19 month Venus cycle. At the same time Venus will oppose Uranus which played such a prominent role in the recent Taurus Full Moon. In some way you are becoming aware of, and you could even say ready, for some profound changes to occur, if not in the foreseeable future, then at least fairly soon. This is because you are getting more in touch with a truer, more authentic expression of yourself. It’s not that you are changing so much as evolving. And what happens with this inferior conjunction is that you get more in touch with your inner values, likes, priorities and needs. And as these make an inner impression now, they then create the seed potential for these to manifest later on. As a result, subtle shifts are already taking place that can and will eventually result in profound change.
Gemini
By the middle of next week, Mercury will have changed signs, heading optimistically into fiery Sagittarius. Gemini is a sign of communications, therefore having the gift of your own voice is really important to you. Especially if you feel you have something important to say. The flavor of that voice can change with these sign shifts and transits. Therefore use the upcoming Mercury transits to get in touch with your own unique style and personal self-expression. And as Mercury then enters Sagittarius we are all being asked to take into consideration, not only the way you say things, but the impact of what you say, and how it affects others. Sometimes it can be tremendously helpful to step back and look at things from another’s perspective first.
Cancer
Chiron recently returned to Pisces where it is weeping deeply for all the woes in the world that are still bleeding and remain unhealed. Nurturing Cancer remains unfazed, stepping in with expertise to heal, pacify, guide, feed, and teach as necessary. The current Jupiter/Chiron trine has its highest expression in wisdom gained and wisdom shared. Cancer takes this to a whole new level. Wisdom gained through experience, and the humility to be guided by others. Wisdom shared through empathy, and letting others know that they are not alone in their suffering. If we were all willing to come from this profound place of humility, and see ourselves as custodians for others, what a far, far, better, kinder, happier place this world would be.
Leo
The Nodes of the Moon are in the final throes of your sign this month. What is so special about these is that they determine where the Eclipses will fall. There is another Lunar Eclipse in January at 0º Leo, but that will be the last one for some years to come. By now it should be evident where any major changes, or shifts have occurred in your life. We are still in the ambit of the Full Moon last Wednesday that was pretty crazy, but could have also been significant for Leo. What is significant now, is the inferior conjunction of Venus which asks us all to set our priorities straight. This will affect you in some of the most fundamental areas of your life: home, family, your emotional support system, your community. It could feel as if you want to make a deeper commitment, as you get in touch with these priorities. What is most important, is understanding what those true priorities are, and how you can make more room for them in your life.
Virgo
Its last duty in the sign of Scorpio is for Mercury to awaken the Jupiter/Chiron trine. These transits, of course, will be more personal for Virgo being a Mercurial sign. Some possible ways this can manifest can include the opportunity to heal a physical or emotional ailment once and for all. There is also the possibility of being able to move on once the healing is effective, leaving old karmic seeds purified once and for all. Could also be an opportunity to teach, to be a guide for others, to share knowledge, skills and wisdom. We all have something of value to share with others, in the form of talent or experience that enables us to be a guide to others. And could also be an opportunity to meet your own wise healer, teacher, guide, who dares to bring you back on to the path.
Libra
We come to the middle of the retrograde phase of Venus, when Venus dares to dance across the path of the Sun. This is the beginning of the next 19 month Venus cycle, when our priorities and values are being silently imprinted on our psyche. Venus is also opposing Uranus all week, which seems to beg a willingness and openness to considering alternatives. This can have something to do with getting your priorities in order, and make room for those things that you truly need as opposed to those things that you merely want. Uranus is unexpected, surprising, and can easily shift the narrative, so that what you thought you wanted, may be changing. Uranus can also be illuminating, reminding us that only light has the capacity to drive out the darkness and cobwebs of our lives. On Wednesday Venus returns to Libra for some unfinished business having to do with fairness, moderation, and creating greater balance in our lives.
Scorpio
We welcome in and celebrate your sign this week now that the Sun has returned for its annual visit. It helps to illuminate all things Scorpio, and show us the value of those things hidden beneath the surface that we often take for granted. You might want to ask yourself what are those things that you value most about yourself, and your life, and that you would want more of going forward? And if it is not possible to commit to these right now, what steps can you take to allow these to be a closer reality? In your heart of hearts you know what you want to create. And those seeds are going to be taking root. Once they do, they will become a force of attraction for the causes and conditions to make these so. In order for them to continue to grow they will need to be cultivated and nurtured. In the mean time, pay attention to what is coming to light, and adjust accordingly. Be open to possibility.
Sagittarius
The last transit Jupiter makes before it enters your sign is a trine to Chiron in Pisces, who weeps deeply for all the pain in the world. The question here is, how can we put the pain of the past behind us in order to be able to boldly meet our future? Chiron is the wounded healer, and he understands what it is to know pain. In some way we are being given the opportunity to put some painful memories behind us, to make amends if necessary, forgive, understand and accept our current condition. Jupiter heals by its very nature, and helps to dissipate resentment and pain that we may be clinging to. Anything that you are holding on to, and that undermines your effectiveness is needing to be released now. That’s what true freedom is about.
Capricorn
It is always good to know who or what you are dealing with. Full Moons have this way of revealing things about people and situations. Once the truth becomes apparent, then you can create a plan; then you can decide whether or not you want to commit and follow through. This week begins with the inferior conjunction of Venus, which for all intents and purposes is invisible to the naked eye, overwhelmed by the light of the Sun. It is also when we are most in tune with the inner value of things rather than the way things appear. Kind of like the KonMari method to determine value: determine what things, people, situations spark joy in your heart. If the item speaks to you and says yes, then it stays. It it does not, then let it go. This subliminal and perhaps actual sorting out is going to be setting the tone for months to come.
Aquarius
As Venus makes its inferior conjunction with the Sun on Friday, and begins its New Moon phase, it will also be opposing the planet Uranus and sextile Saturn, the co-ruling planets of Aquarius. You might ask what this means for you? For one thing it is giving you permission to change your perspective, change your mind, reconsider a proposition, re-think your future. Just because you have always done something one way in the past, or that you have been so focused on one thing in the past, does not necessarily mean that it is what is appropriate for you right now. So, in a sense, you are also being given permission to free yourself up for greater possibility going forward. Krishnamurti once wrote: Without freedom from the past, there is no freedom at all, because the mind is never new, fresh, innocent. A new vision is emerging.
Pisces
What the world needs is more kindness and understanding, but it often feels as if that is in short supply these days. Chiron, the wounded healer, has returned to your sign where it teaches us the advantages of compassion, understanding and acceptance as learning tools, as well as tools for effectively healing some of our wounds. This week, something you learn, something you read, something you are taught, can lead to deeper understanding, that in turn can lead to a healing. This is a good week to look at the big picture, and to make decisions that will impact on and be in the best interest of all parties concerned. It is also a good week to consider how we use our words, and communicate with others. Words can be used to wound, they can also be used to heal. It’s all in the delivery.
