For the week of June 8th thru the 15th, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Aries
Like a soldier who has just returned from a campaign, you are seeking to reacclimatize yourself to the world, even though at times it simply does not make sense. You may wonder how and where you may fit in, in the scheme of things, knowing that things are in a constant state of change. Your ruling planet Mars has been biting the tail of the dragon, and the dissatisfaction and restlessness this brings could be a source of irritation. This is not something to ignore, however, it is also not something to act on. The tail of the dragon does not have a head, and therefore is senseless. And that gnawing irritation will probably not be resolved any time in the near future. Yet what you may learn this week, in the light of the New Moon on Wednesday, could be quite illuminating. The New Moon on Wednesday is great for Aries to initiate a new study, develop a skill, share information with others, or learn ways to become a more effective speaker. Use the last few days at the end of next week to focus on a project, and apply any personal ideas or strategies that you’ve been thinking about to solve a problem.
Taurus
When Mercury enters Cancer on Tuesday, it helps to illuminate some of the changes that you may be considering to make in your life. This may come about through a conversation you have, or something you read, or learn, that shifts your perspective just enough to let you know that your life will never be quite the same again. For the past few months you’ve been focusing on reacquainting yourself with yourself, your needs, you values and priorities. And now you are ready to think in terms of applying these in your everyday life. One area that you will want to pay attention to is your personal life: home and family, and perhaps what changes you may need to make there. Think in terms of the sorts of changes that will bring you more in alignment with any new path or purpose you might like to achieve, rather than making changes just for the sake of change. Some thoughts that could arise in the wake of the New Moon on Wednesday: How can I find practical and achievable ways to transform an interest into a lucrative business? Or: May I release any self-defeating negative ideas about ownership, self-esteem and self-worth.
Gemini
If you’ve been overwhelmed with feelings of distraction, confusion and anxiety, you are not alone. But do also realize that you are going to be able to make it through the fog, and back out into the light, as confusion makes way for clarity, and clarity to hard, cold reality. It is something of a wake up call, especially if you’ve been trying to avoid something. Come the end of next week, there is no avoiding to be had, and you will need to have your nose to the grindstone in order to get things all sorted out. The good news is that you are able to get your life in order. The bad news, is having to crunch the numbers in order to do so. Realize that things are not likely to be as ominous as they appear, and that solutions are just around the corner. Use the New Moon on Wednesday to reaffirm who you are, and what you are capable of. Remind yourself that: My mind is vast and has incredible potential. And: Today is the first day of the rest of my life, may I realize that this first step will bring me closer to making my dream a closer reality.
Cancer
As we move through the dark of the moon, and we approach the New Moon on Wednesday, there is a certain brilliance that arises, helping to put the pieces of the puzzle together in a way that is almost revelatory. With Mercury entering your sign this week, you are going to want to have your say, and share your discoveries with others! However, it should become apparent that you don’t need to share everything, and in fact, there are some things that shouldn’t be shared at all. And for those things that you are going to be sharing, there is an art in doing so. You are being challenged to be able to say things in a way that is simple, clear, concise and understandable. Let both wisdom and skillful means be your guide. A possible affirmation for the New Moon this week may be: May I trust my intuition to guide me in knowing when to speak, and knowing when it is the greater valor to wait and be still.
Leo
Mars has been biting at the tail of the dragon for the past week, and this is enough to get on your last nerve. However, whatever agitation has been gnawing away, is not going to just go away this Summer (Winter if you live in the southern hemisphere), but will be lurking in the background for the next few months. The New Moon will be ticking it off a bit this week as well. The key is in knowing when to react, and when it is best to be silent and reserved. Some things are just better kept to oneself. Especially when things are still not totally clear this weekend. It is best not to make assumptions. However, with the advent of the New Moon, there could be an opportunity to briefly and gratefully clear the air. And with Venus entering your sign on Wednesday, this will help to restore some of the magnetic charm and graciousness that you are most known for. For the New Moon this week, see if you can realign yourself with your hopes and wishes for the future. And make the affirmation that if these wishes are meant for you, that may the best possible circumstances arise to see them fulfilled.
Virgo
Any lingering distractions and vertigo from the previous week is likely to leak into the weekend. Try to find some down time mid-week in order to reestablish some semblance of normalcy. Can there even be such a thing? You will need that break to recoup your strength and focus on later when you will need it. The New Moon on Wednesday is a reaffirmation of where you want to go and what you have to do to get there. Are you on the right path? Are you heading in the direction that you want to go? It may become evident that yes, you are(!), and you have so much more to offer; or conversely you may be wondering how the heck I got here, and how do I get off now? Therefore this New Moon is a good time to set the intention to be led to realize your true life’s path and purpose. It may be that you decide that it is best to stay where you are right now, however it doesn’t hurt to plant a few seeds now, so that they may be able to ripen in the future when the conditions finally allow them to do so.
Libra
As Mercury enters Cancer on Tuesday, you may be given a platform in which to show the world that you have something important to say. Remind yourself that your mind has vast potential, but that there are skillful means in which to express ideas to others in a way that is clear, concise and to the point. It might also be helpful to focus on not what makes you (or what you do) so different from others, but how those differences complement what everyone else is bringing to the table. In this way, there is an appreciation and realization of how much we can both teach, and learn from others. Even those we don’t necessarily agree with(!). There are lessons to be learned all around. Use the last few days of next week to focus on a given project and apply any creative ideas or strategies you’ve been thinking about to solve a problem. Hard work reaps positive results. You’ll be able to play later when all is said and done. A good intention to sow with the New Moon on Wednesday may be: May I have the wisdom to speak my truth in a way that others will find easy to understand.
Scorpio
For the past week, your ruling planet Mars, has been kindling the tail of the dragon. This could bring feelings of irritation and dissatisfaction that may or may not have any bearings on reality. What you will not want to do is act on these feelings or urges. The dragon’s tail has no head, and therefore no senses or clarity. What might work to clear out any negativity or irritations, are purification exercises and practices. Do this with the New Moon on Wednesday: clean out clutter, drawers and closets; take care of projects that have been languishing on that back shelf; have the courage to face any self-defeating habits, fears, or wounds; unload resentment habits or tendencies that are preventing you from growing or evolving. This is not going to happen overnight. There is a process here that will evolve over the course of several months. But the lightness that can come with unloading and divesting yourself of any unnecessary baggage, can be illuminating as well as cleansing. Then make the affirmation to be confident enough to ask for what you need in order to achieve your goals.
Sagittarius
If you have found people and situations to be a little perplexing, you might find that that continues to be true as we move into the weekend. This makes it difficult to make plans, or know if you are coming or going. However, it could also allow you to step back for a few days before you make any definite commitments yourself. Clarity will resume, especially on or around the New Moon on Wednesday. This is a particularly strong moon for Sagittarius, especially those Sagittarians born towards the latter part of the sign, though all Sagittarians will probably feel this one. For one thing, it does begin to clear up any confusion that may have been lingering. It also helps you to be able to clear up in your own mind, exactly where you stand on a particular issue, and more precisely how you may want to state your case. It could also be that a subject that you’ve been trying to avoid, can no longer be avoided by the end of next week, and you are going to have to come up with some sort of resolution. Look for creative and alternative ways of getting around obstacles, and/or solving problems.
Capricorn
When Mercury enters Cancer on Tuesday it opens up opportunities to hash things out with others. Try to avoid opening up any old wounds in the process. Rather look for creative and alternative ways of solving any problems, or working through any disagreements. In this weather, the inclination is to slavishly hold to one’s own opinions and views. But a lot can be learned by listening, and looking at things from another perspective. It can actually open up all sorts of ideas (and even opportunities) that you hadn’t previously considered. The latter part of the week could be inclined towards negative thinking. Realize that things are not as gloomy as they may seem. What this time is good for, is serious study, introspection, and working on projects that require your full focus and consideration. The New Moon on Wednesday is a good time to make the intention to learn more about health and well being (either for yourself or someone else); to embark on a new health regimen; or to learn a new practical and useful skill.
Aquarius
With Mars in your own sign (and for the foreseeable future); you might have been feeling the urge to make a new start. Mars brings courage and the daring to take that first step and to feel a little righteous, lawless and brave. And not paying attention to the behests of Mars could leave you feeling restless, agitated and a little peeved. However, Mars has also been biting the tail of the dragon this past week, and could be stirring up more than you bargain for. What it is also trying to show you, is what needs to be released in order to be able to move forward later on. It could even rend you motionless for now. Until all the old karma has been thoroughly cleansed and purified, you probably will not be able to go forth with the full confidence that Mars is asking of you. In the mean time there will be other distractions to keep you company. With the New Moon on Wednesday, and Venus entering Leo soon after, you are being asked to come out and play. Make the intention with this New Moon to step out of your own way in order to allow love and joy to enter your life and open your heart. Then go out and enjoy those people and things that bring you joy and happiness.
Pisces
If you were subject to any of the ennui, distraction and confusion of the previous week, you are not alone, and you may find that much of that will continue to bleed into the weekend. If this is the case, you may also find yourself plagued by a strong desire to escape the world. And perhaps that is precisely what the doctor has ordered, realizing that you will need to step back into the world later on. You can’t avoid reality forever, but perhaps you can make it a little more palatable by indulging your whims, your fantasies, your imagination. Provided you can distinguish between the fantasy and reality there is no harm in this. The New Moon on Wednesday could be somewhat illuminating however, and bring you back into the world once again. Things you might want to focus on, are making your environment ore attuned to your inner needs; paying attention to the people who are closest and most meaningful to you; and connecting with your inner and personal needs. It is also a good time to come to appreciate the patterns and events in your life that have led your to where you are right now.
