For the week of August 3rd thru the 10th, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Aries
Some of the unstable weather left over from the recent Lunar Eclipse is still lingering, and cannot be avoided. One can only do their best in this trying, unpredictable, changeable, and very retrograde weather. The virtue of Aries is their unstoppability and daring verve to take on all challenges. And your willingness to accept people where and how they are is just an added advantage. What you don’t want to give in to is resentment, which can be easy to do under the circumstances. Resentment is just internalized anger, and has no value whatsoever. There is something to be said for self-care, and recognizing when boundaries are being broached. But there is also something to be said for creating the changes that will restore the balance and harmony in your life. Sometimes all that is required is changing your perspective, and keeping your priorities clear and in order.
Taurus
The planet Uranus had only just entered your sign in May, and now it is about to station retrograde, reminding you that there is still some work to be done before proceeding forward with plans and expectations. One thing that should not be compromised, is your commitment to a more authentic life. And although people may balk at the changes you are going through, this is about being a truer, more real version of yourself. Those who accept this about you, will rejoice in your growth and evolution. The others will just need to adapt. For at this point, you are needing all the freedom and fresh air you can muster in order to thrive and grow. This week, your ruling planet Venus, moves into Libra, a sign of fairness and balance. Ironically, what might become most evident is how much discord and imbalance there is. However, despite any hurt feelings, harmony wins out when Venus is strong in her own sign.
Gemini
One event that is occurring this coming week, is the inferior conjunction of Mercury. This is the equivalent of the “New Moon” cycle for Mercury, when we are more closely aligned with our heart’s behests. It might be helpful to create some quiet time next Wednesday or Thursday, in order to reflect and meditate on those qualities, skills, or habits that you might want to cultivate over the next several weeks or months. This could be about learning a new skill, pursuing a new interest, or the gathering of new information that can serve you well. Or it can be about perfecting skills or interests that you already have. It can also be about working on creating better mental habits. You could find that your mind is on bigger things right now. However, it will also be important to get all the facts and information first. After all, Mercury is indeed still retrograde. Another event is the station of Uranus on Tuesday, which is urging Gemini to release old issues from the past, in order to make more room for a truer, more authentic version of yourself that is gradually emerging.
Cancer
This coming week, Uranus will station in the sign of Taurus. Whenever planets station they feel that much stronger. And for Cancer this could feel like certain things in your life are getting shifted about. It almost feels like you are being urged to free up your life in some way, in order to get your hopes and wishes more in alignment with your true purpose. Over the next several months it could become apparent as to which associations are furthering your objectives and aspirations, and which ones are limiting you, or preventing your from growing. Through these shifts and turns and readjustments, you will ultimately be in a better position to achieve your goals. Even goals that you may not have previously thought possible. In the mean time, you may feel the much needed urge to work on certain relationships this week. This will be particularly true if you are feeling undervalued or under-appreciated in any way. Clarifying expectations of each other can lead to deeper understanding, despite any hurt feelings that may arise.
Leo
There are two important events this week, that are particularly relevant to Leo. One is the inferior conjunction of Mercury to the Sun, which takes place in your sign. This is the equivalent to the Mercury “New Moon” and presents with opportunities to seed new ideas, new perspectives, and even New Beginnings. There may be some hesitance, fearing that you may be over-extending yourself. Just make sure that you take into consideration all the details of a venture before committing too fully. A big vision is emerging, and it should be given due respect, but you also need to keep your feet planted on the ground. The other event this coming week, is the station of Uranus in Taurus. For Leo this can augur potential changes that have been simmering on the back burner. This will be particularly true if there is any area in your life that has become a little stale or limited. Uranus has this way of stirring things up. That can be a good thing, provided you look before you leap. Best to get all the facts first, especially as Mercury is still retrograde after all.
Virgo
Next week we reach the midpoint of the Mercury retrograde cycle, when Mercury dances across the face of the Sun. During this week, Mercury is invisible in the sky, as we move even deeper into reflective mode. This is when we are most in alignment with the behests of the Soul, and can more easily seed ideas, habits and motives that we would like to see flourish over the weeks and months ahead. It may seem that you are feeling overwhelmed and over-extended this week. If that is the case, step back and create more space for meditative retreat. It will serve you well in the long run and bring opportunities for healing. As Uranus stations next week, remind yourself to maintain an open mind and perspective. There is much that can be learned, if you are willing to be flexible in your thinking and beliefs.
Libra
As Uranus hovers at its station next week, there are suggestions here that in some remarkable way, your life is due for a change. However, there are bound to be other things that will probably need to be readdressed before that will be accomplished. Making sure the foundations of your life are secure and well-grounded is one of these. This will eventually allow you to make whatever changes are needed, without becoming destabilized. In the mean time, your ruling planet, Venus, is coming home to its own sign of Libra on Monday, hopefully bringing a bit of peace and harmony into your life. This may not be evident at first, as it could feel as if you are not being supported in your efforts to maintain the peace. Rather than having to take sides; seek alliances with those who feel just as passionately as you do about the things that matter the most.
Scorpio
People are just so unpredictable. Perhaps irritatingly so. Nonetheless, at least the discord of the Lunar Eclipse is beginning to subside. And although things may not be entirely peaceful, there is hope for some sort of detente. All the more so thanks to a conciliatory trine between Venus and Mars to ease the way. This is also an incredibly inspiring and passionate combination, that lends itself to all sorts of creative visions and ideas. However, even this lovely aspect cannot negate the Uranus station this week. Uranus can be illuminating, especially concerning others and your interactions with them when in the sign Taurus. However, what is even more important are the changes that you would like to make in your own life. Let any experiences that arise serve as catalysts for positive change and growth. Uranus has the capacity to open up your life in ways that you may not even realize yet.
Sagittarius
Next week we reach the midpoint of the Mercury retrograde cycle, when Mercury appears to cross the face of the Sun. Although invisible in the sky, Mercury is actually incredibly potent for seeding better habits, routines and healthier perspectives. This is a good time to ask yourself, what sorts of mental habits would you like to see take root over the next several months? This can include things like: learning something new; taking a course; finding out what you might need in order to get your life back on course. Your mind is on bigger issues right now, and there may be some big plans in the works. Just make sure that you dot all your i’s and cross your t’s, making sure you get all the facts and details as well. And if you have been feeling like you are stuck in a rut, the Uranus station this week is aiming to show you ways to get out of that rut. It can act as something of a reboot.
Capricorn
Next week Uranus makes its station, reemphasizing the necessity for us all to be true to ourselves, and not compromise authenticity. In order to make the most of the next several months, it is important to remain true to this authentic self in order to realize your own path. This path may not necessarily be what other people think is best for you, but it is important to make sure that it is the right path for you. Saturn in your own sign right now, although strong, can seed doubts about the future. The station of Uranus aims to remove some of those doubts, and cut them out at the root. By figuring out creative ways to adjust to the demands of the time, you can find new and better paths to your goals. Necessity is the mother of invention, and these times call for creative and alternative solutions.
Aquarius
Some of the tension of the Lunar Eclipse should be relieved a bit this week. Changes seem to be inevitable during these rocky periods, requiring adjustments and the need to be vigilant and aware. However there are some advantages that can also emerge out of this period that can bring you into alignment with some important priorities in your life. There are actually opportunities to make constructive changes over the weeks ahead, that could ideally open up your life in some way, bringing you greater freedom, and showing you ways to get around obstacles, fears, or self-limiting behaviors that may have been holding you back. By overcoming these obstacles, you are then in a better position to pursue your goals and aspirations. The station of Uranus next week could feel a bit like the rug is being pulled out from under your feet. But it can also free you up for a whole new experience, that is trying to emerge.
Pisces
Next Wednesday we reach the midpoint of the Mercury retrograde cycle, when Mercury makes its conjunction to the Sun, literally crossing the face of the Sun from our perspective. At this point Mercury is invisible in the sky, but incredibly potent for establishing better habits, routines and healthier perspectives that you would like to see grow over the months ahead. This could even be a new job, or a new skill that you would like to see developed. In some way you are being urged to reach for a promise of a better future. Sometimes all this is required is looking at things from another perspective. Something that once seemed impossible, may actually now be possible. If you are willing to be flexible, there is so much that you can learn over the next few months that will benefit you for years to come, allowing your everyday world to even become a source of excitement and wonder.
