Horoscopes: August 30th thru September 6th

The Harvesters by Peter Brueghel

For the week of August 30th thru September 6th, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:

Aries

Use the energy of the New Moon to begin new projects or initiatives, reinvesting your energy into your work and what you do. Be daring enough to possibly even go off in a new direction, as an opportunity could crop up from an unexpected corner. Experiment with new ideas. Have the courage to try new things and step out of your usual ways of doing things. There is no telling where this could lead. This is a proactive week, but it also has the potential to devolve into anger and frustration if you are impatient or feel challenged in any way. So patience and the ability to stay on point are key this week. Use the surge of energy from the New Moon to begin new projects, organize your work space, or begin a new health regimen. You don’t want to take on too much, or you’ll regret it later, but there’s a lot of creative and productive energy here that will want to be channeled in some direction.

Taurus

This week opens with a New Moon that is just filled with all sorts of creative and productive energy, that if channeled well could lead to some pleasant surprises. Some really good connections can be made in the process that will bring you the information you will need in order to make a knowledgable decision. With the Virgo New Moon it is important to be able to discriminate between common sense logic coming from a well-informed source, as opposed to rumors or random information from lord knows where, that will only lead you down the garden path. Stay grounded this week, but also remember: There is something to be said about creating more health and less stress in your life, simply by allowing space in your life to do the things you love, with the ones you love.

Gemini

The New Moon on Friday brings a burst of energy and a whirlwind of activity close to home. Use it in a practical way! Organize your personal space; remove the clutter from your life; scrub that counter within an inch of its life; and then tackle all the cobwebs lurking in the corners. Virgo is a sign that focuses on the details, and you won’t want to miss even a speck of dust. This can all be taken metaphorically as well, looking for positive ways to dispel the cobwebs and negative energy from your heart and mind. This will clear the way for all sorts of creative energy and projects that have just been waiting for an opportunity to make themselves known. These few days are fleeting and quick, but chock full of insight and flashes of genius. See if you can wrangle up a few of these brilliant ideas before they slip away.

Cancer

This week is launched by a New Moon that is just brimming with all sorts of vital energy, busyness and creative ideas. Do your best not to allow these ideas and inspirations to escape. They could slip away about as swiftly and unexpectedly as they arrive. Take notes if you have to. This weather is brilliant as well as inspiring. ‘Illuminating’ is a good word for this week. Two useful things can come about this week: one is that a problem can be solved by looking at it from another perspective, or due to information that you did not previously know about; and two, a sudden shift in plans could prove to be fortuitous. One thing to watch for, is that the energy is so quick that it could also be a little reckless, finding you diving in without testing out the water first. You may need to make some quick decisions, just make sure you get all the details first before you sign on the dotted line.

Leo

Leo is going to get the full monte Virgo experience this week. Not only are we ushering in the week with a New Moon in Virgo, but the Sun will be traveling all week with both Mercury and Mars, and Venus not too far away either. All in Virgo. This annual Moon might have you asking questions such as: What useful and valuable skills do I need to perfect? What valuable services do I have to offer to others? Use the energy of the New Moon to reinvest in yourself, your skills and your talents. And even if you aren’t seeking authenticity, truth and freedom of expression, it is bound to find you. If you were planning on launching a project, go in a new direction or begin a new initiative. This is the week to do it, in all your glory.

Virgo

We open this week with a New Moon in your sign that should get the ball rolling! Those Virgos who will be most affected by this Moon, are those born between August 27th and September 2nd, or who have 3-9º of Virgo Rising, however all Virgos are going to feel this one. With a pile of planets in your sign this week, this is your opportunity to launch new projects, make a new and powerful beginning and be inspired. It is time to get down to business, and follow through with any creative ideas that have been simmering on the back burner. Or for that matter, any creative or innovative ideas that strike you now! This is the sort of weather in which ideas just seem to pop right into your mind from the ether: solutions to problems are revealed; puzzles are solved; unexpected revelations arise. It is also really quick. Therefore, using that Virgo discrimination of yours, write down ideas as they arise before they disappear again into the ether from whence they came. You’ll be glad that you did.

Libra

Libra does their best thinking in silence, and when they are away from the maddening world and all of its activity. Truth is, there is much more going on in your mind this week than at any other time. And in order to make the most of the brilliant potential that the New Moon in Virgo brings, you will need some solitude: whether by going on retreat, retiring to your own private space, or taking a long walk on your own. It will be at these times that ideas just seem to arise spontaneously, and you will want to take note before they flit away. There is something valuable and laced with potential to be harvested here. But you won’t be able to take advantage of it if you are distracted by insensible and useless outside disturbances and activities that will only lead you astray. The answers and excitement are within, not without.

Scorpio

This week opens with a New Moon that is trying to nudge you towards some sort of vision for the future that has been lingering on the back burner. The New Moon in Virgo is your wishing Moon, and with 5 planets in Virgo on the day of the New Moon, the universe is conniving to make that vision manifest. You may receive some enlightening information about the steps you can take to allow that vision to become a closer reality. This can be a powerful and positive time to plant seeds: therefore ask yourself what hopes and wishes you would like to see reach fruition in the foreseeable future? A sense of adventure, and a greater willingness to take risks, will take you where you need to be. Have the courage to go out and meet your destiny. A change in perspective could prove to be surprising and fortuitous.

Sagittarius

This New Moon brings all sorts of fabulous opportunities for renewal, new starts, and the courage to launch yourself out into the world. This may feel at times over the next month like you are launching yourself on a wing and a prayer. And you may feel as if you are being over-extended and pulled in various directions all at once to do so. Nonetheless, if you are going to take that first step out into the world in order to fulfill your hopes and your dreams, this may be just the week to do so. I keep on repeating over and over, how your world is getting just a little bit bigger. And the opportunities that the current weather brings could be both challenging and inspiring. But the energy and courage that the New Moon also brings can bring you places you might not have even imagined.

Capricorn

The New Moon dares to expose you to new ideas, and innovative concepts that could broaden your perspective in ways that you had not expected. But it’s actually the weeks that follow that allow you to fully appreciate where this is all taking you. The more information you have, the more likely you are to be able to make informed decisions about the direction that you wish your life to take in the foreseeable future. Many a Capricorn has been thinking about reinventing themselves, reinventing their lives and the goals they wish to achieve. And the illumination that can come with this New Moon could help you to firm up your commitment to doing so. Your goals are gradually taking shape. Just wait until your ruling planet, Saturn, stations direct in mid-September.

Aquarius

It may feel as if your life is gradually unfolding, revealing and shifting, with this New Moon in discriminating but resourceful Virgo. If things are indeed shifting and changing, this is because it is necessary in order for you to lead a more authentic, more creative lifestyle. And only you really knows what that looks and feels like. However in the midst of changing circumstances, it may be difficult to make commitments and plans for the future. The key here is to focus on one thing at a time. Don’t allow yourself to be distracted by all the other extraneous things. And getting organized and having all of your ducks lined up in a row, is important right now. What is revealed this week going forward, could be important regarding the decisions and plans you are going to be making later.

Pisces

Through the auspices of the New Moon in Virgo, what you learn in the company of others, through others, with others, could be incredibly illuminating. ‘Others’ could mean partners, counselors, therapists, clients, close friends or even challengers and competitors. Regardless there is something to be learned here. And part of that learning process is also about and how boundaries can become eroded and break down. The art of mutual respect, and being able to accept people where they are is essential here. It may be even more important for you than it is for others. What you are learning about here is understanding your inter-relationship and interdependence with others, and how important we are for each other’s mutual development and growth, as well as our health and well-being.
