For the week of March 20th thru the 27th, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Aries
With Mars traipsing around with the big boys this week, Aries is going to be on call. Always ready to be on the front lines, you all will want to be useful. But you will also want to have a plan. And with the New Moon in your sign this week, it’s time to lay out some sort of strategy. All Aries people will feel this New Moon, but those most sensitive to it are those born between the 21st of March and the 27th, or who have 0-7º Aries Rising. This is not only about new beginnings, but also about recognizing some sort of new normal that is gradually evolving out of everything that has recently occurred. And if nothing else comes out of this, perhaps it is the understanding of who you are, and that you indeed, are a force to be reckoned with. If you are so inclined, some positive affirmations for this New Moon on Tuesday, March 24th might be: I am filled with the courage and strength to take on even the most daunting of challenges. Or: May I embody the spirit of a warrior hero, rushing headlong into life.
Taurus
It almost feels like the universe (or divine messenger of your choice) is asking us to slow down in some significant way. Not only to maintain social distancing and be safe, but also to stop, if only for a moment to pay attention to everything around you: the air on your skin, the color of new leaves, the scent of a flower. Tennyson once wrote: Flower in the crannied wall, I pluck you out of the crannies: Hold you here, root and all in my hand, Little flower ~ but if I could understand What you are, root and all, and all in all, I should know what God and man is. Brilliant. Even this fierce active New Moon phase that will arrive on the 24th is asking Taurus to be still and pay attention to what lies beneath and within. Nonetheless Aries is a fiery sign, so this is also a good time to release and clear the inner channels. Therapeutic exercise such as yoga, tai chi, chi gong would all work well. Clear the closets, do a spring cleaning. Then let it all go. And dare to take some time to sit with the moment that is.
Gemini
Mercury is once again in the sign of Pisces where it will remain until April 11th. Once again we are being admonished to be still. To be reflective. But with greater clarity and understanding of what we are now dealing with. We’ve all been working really hard to invest our lives with greater meaning, and to connect with our own soul’s journey. In some way, we are being shown that that journey is right here, right in front of us and in the present moment. We don’t need to go anywhere else to find it. But there is also a reminder here with the New Moon in Aries, that even when we are physically apart from one another, we are all still connected in so many ways. You can still connect with others with a smile, with words of encouragement, with shared hopes and dreams. The New Moon in Aries is Gemini’s wishing moon. Therefore make your dreams and hopes and wishes magnificent, and send them out into space. There is no telling when and where they will land.
Cancer
The New Moon in Aries on the 24th is conjunct wise and uniquely talented Chiron. Remind yourself with this upcoming lunar phase that you don’t need to prove your worth to others, the only one you have to prove your worth to is yourself. Success arises when you arrive at acceptance of who you are, without worrying about what others may think. Saturn is entering Aquarius this week as well, which is a reminder for all of us, that we all have unique and very important qualities and talents, that are necessary for the function of society as a whole. One thing that has become apparent, is that the people who are on the front lines? The people who we are all counting on? Are often the very people we usually take for granted. May we all send a heartfelt wish to the mothers, the caregivers, the nurses, the delivery people, the people working in the groceries, the restaurant workers, the people we were accustomed to seeing each day. Let them know we’ve got their back.
Leo
There is a shift going on these days. The virus is merely a catalyst. What may become evident is that there is a new order evolving. And we’re all here as witnesses and participants. Each and every one of us is going to be playing a part in the new reality that is emerging. And no one is to be left out. We were all made for this. And although the status quo may feel as if it is undergoing a makeover right now. And it is. We are all going to play a part in redefining who we are, what we believe, and how we are going to be a part of that new order. Up until then we are all going to be upholding the status quo as well as we can. That will actually help us to transition to the next step, for which you will be at the vanguard. A good intention for Leo for this New Moon might be: I want all fears concerning initiating a new beginning, and starting on a new path, be lifted from me. You are getting ready to go where you need to go.
Virgo
Mercury has returned to Pisces where it is daring Virgo to open up their eyes, their senses, their awareness to all that is around them. It is also daring you to do some serious triage: focus on those things that you know you have control over, and release those things that you don’t. Saturn is entering Aquarius this week, which is urging us all to dig deep into our own skill sets in order to find what we need in order to transition into a new and evolving world order. One thing that may become apparent is that when we all work together, we are better able to arrive at solutions. Social isolation does not mean we cannot work together to solve our problems and help one another in whatever creative ways we can. One thing that has opened our eyes during the pandemic, is the appreciation of the everyday people on the front lines of our communities: the healthcare workers, the service people that we all depend on. May we honor them all this week as part of our New Moon in Aries rituals.
Libra
Safety and security come in the small ways, through the small things. Part of this comes from the realization that the things that really matter, do not have a price tag. Life is changing in ways that you might not have imagined. But we must not forget or change those things that really matter to you in the long run: kindness, charity, compassion and understanding. One thing that becomes apparent is that we are all in this mess together. And we’re all going to get out of it together as well. And we’re going to need those things and those people that matter. This New Moon on the 24th is about instilling more energy and enthusiasm into your partnerships and relationships, focusing on those people and relationships that you know you can count on no matter what happens, no matter how much life is changing. There are some things, even in times of transition, that are constant.
Scorpio
Feisty Mars is ready to take on any challengers this week, and Scorpio is right there along for the ride. They’ve been researching and gathering all the facts, and there isn’t anything that will get by them. Now it’s time to put some of those ideas into action. This will be especially so if it becomes apparent that it’s time to bring out the big guns this week. You won’t be the only one realizing that it’s time to get serious. You’re ready to push forward with a vengeance, come what may. You will indeed be a force to be reckoned with with both of your ruling planets working together. Mars demands some sort of action. To do something. So see if you can channel it into something productive. Perhaps something that you’ve been avoiding but you know needs to get done. This week is about doing the hard work, and positively using this powerful force to take on challenges and get thing done.
Sagittarius
There are times in our lives when we ask ourselves: What are those principles, those things we truly believe in, when our back is against the wall. What are the things that we are willing to put ourselves on the line for? What are those things that are most meaningful to you? We can always choose to stand on the sidelines and do nothing. Especially if you fear rocking the boat, or upsetting the status quo. But sometimes there are just some things that you need to take a stand on. This gets down to your core beliefs. Your true priorities, and everything that matters. This requires courage and a strong sense of knowing what those priorities are, and what you believe in, so that even in the face of extraordinary odds and challenges, you will still stand up for what is right and true.
Capricorn
Your ruling planet, Saturn, enters Aquarius this week. We will be discussing this more in the weeks to come, but for now this shift may not be so drastic. But it is the natural consequence of all that has occurred over the past few years: all the hard decisions that you have made; the new beginnings; the new awakening awareness of who you are and what you want to achieve. Now you are needing to consider how you are going to make those new beginnings, those decisions sustainable. Over the next few years you are going to be making some hard decisions that will set your priorities in order. Practicality will be key going forward. You have goals, and you have responsibilities. And for both of those, you are also going to need a plan. But first you need to pay attention to your foundation. And this New Moon is precisely about you doing that. Where do you want to invest your energy, time and resources in order to create more safety and security in your life?
Aquarius
This week the planet Saturn, your ruling planet, will enter Aquarius. Although it will only travel through the first few degrees of the sign, and the early degree Aquarians will feel this most strongly, all Aquarians may be quite aware of the shift over the next several months. This is when Aquarius, but especially those early Aquarians, are going to examine every facet of their lives: what you do for a living; where you are living; who you are living with; what your plans are for the future. Eventually you may find that you will want to make certain changes in order to bring yourself and your life more into alignment with what those might be. But perhaps most importantly, Saturn entering your sign is about realistically assessing and objectively understanding who you are now, and ultimately, what is best for the person that you have now become.
Pisces
There are times when we know we need to put some things aside, because we need to gather and martial the forces for the greater good of the whole group. This may require making certain sacrifices in order to accomplish your ends. But knowing this is for a higher cause, makes it all worth it in the end. The New Moon in Aries is reminding us that guidance is there if we need it. All we need to do is seek it out and ask. But the New Moon, even more importantly, is asking you to prioritize those things which are most meaningful to you in your life. It’s not just about what you want to invest your valuable love, time, money and passions on, it’s also recognizing that there are some things that simply cannot be quantified. And knowing precisely what your priorities are, is the first question Pisces should always ask before making a decision. For this will be your inner guidance system moving forward.
