For the week of July 31st thru August 7th, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Aries
It can drive you to utter madness. It may seem at times that there is a big division, where one side believes one thing and the other side another. But actually there are probably many opinions with many sides. So sometimes you are over here in this camp, and then traveling over there. It’s not so either/or. However, there will be times over the next 6 months, and perhaps this week in particular, when even though two points of view are being expressed with great passion and assuredness, the truth isn’t either/or. In fact, and it certainly seems to be so from your side, it is possible for one side to be completely wrong. But trying to convince others of that could get your head bit off. Choose your battles wisely. You’ll have plenty of battles to fight going forward, and this week just looks like a roller coaster ride gone off the tracks. This is because we are in a period of transition. Changes are imminent. So we are all going to have to be a little flexible moving forward. Exercising patience may not be your forte, but it will keep you out of a heap of trouble in the long run. Take it one day at a time. And avoid stirring up any more excitement than is necessary.
Taurus
There are these junctures when it just feels like you are being placed in alignment with your chosen path. It may not be all that obvious. But it is likely staring you right in the face. Your ruling planet Venus has been in the sign of Gemini since April, and will enter Cancer later next week. For the past four months you’ve been weighing your priorities, getting in touch with your values, and the things that matter most to you. You’ve also been faced with the idea of what is, or is not, sustainable. You are also getting in touch with your own self-worth: perhaps a skill that you have revived has taken off; perhaps you are finding your sense of self in the world in other ways that you hadn’t previously considered before this whole crazy pandemic thing took off. This is important in the broader scheme of things, even in the midst of gradual and unprecedented change in the world, as well as in yourself. The world (and yourself) are about to get a little bit more interesting. Stay tuned. There’s more to come.
Gemini
Your ruling planet, Mercury, will enter Leo on Tuesday. But before it does so, it will wade through the treacherous waters of the last few degrees of Cancer. Mercury has been in the sign of home, family, community, empathy and caring since the end of May, and as it meandered through its retrograde phase it brought us back in time: remembering, reminiscing, healing, reflecting. And for Gemini in particular it has been readdressing and reassessing priorities. Now that Mercury is in these last few degrees of Cancer, and in the light of this electric and changeable Full Moon, we are being asked to hold on to those priorities. To honor those people, things and experiences that you most value, and hold to be true. Even in the face of undue pressure to conform. Even when others may aim to silence you. Speaking your truth, and honoring that which you value most, is an extraordinary thing.
Cancer
Cancer is almost always in tune with the tides and idiosyncrasies of the Moon. And Full Moons can often feel like a full tide, where we see the fruition and ramification of all the choices we have made. Sometimes full moons can be particularly emotional, filled with activity and even commotion. They can also be revelatory. Things come to the surface. Other things are revealed. And sometimes like a lightning bolt out of the blue it can change the status quo, upend our plans, and take a sudden turn. This is that sort of moon. But it is also the sort of week, in the light of any illuminating revelations that may or may not occur, there is also an awareness of that which we have outgrown, and no longer need in our lives. It is time for us to be clear, even in the face of extraordinary forces that are so ingrained in our society, that we are better than that. And we are growing.
Leo
Leo is one of the 4 signs that will be sensitive to the changeable nature of the upcoming Full Moon. And this is just the first of 3 turning points coming up over the next 6 months. Anatole France once said that “all changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy” because change implies that we may need to leave something behind, in order to enter the life that is to come. But what are we really leaving behind, except those things that we have already outgrown? These turning points are little reminders that some how our lives are going to be shifting. Changing not merely for the sake of change, but for a brighter tomorrow. There are also opportunities here to change the narrative if it is necessary to do so. We are growing. We don’t have to keep doing things the way we have in the past. There are alternatives. Keep an open mind and remain flexible. There are changes brewing, and you will have your own part to play in this continuously evolving pageant.
Virgo
For the past two months, Mercury, your ruling planet, has been in Cancer, a sign of great empathy and compassion. And as Mercury has spent a very lengthy period of time here, it allowed you to reconnect with those people, those ideals that you hold to be most dear. There is something to take heed here. That even if situations change, even if things come to light that can change the whole paradigm, there are certain ideals that you will not allow to be compromised. There will be those who will try to get you to conform. Who will try to coerce, control or even tell you what you should or should not do or value. But even in the face of extraordinary pressure, you do not want to compromise your ideals. Even if that means standing alone. One thing is apparent. People may try to ignore you or silence you, but they cannot silence the truth. Stick to the truth, the rest will follow.
Libra
There are times when you feel extremely compelled to speak your mind. And then there are times when you wonder if it might be wiser to hold back a bit, and keep some thoughts to yourself, rather than stir the pot. You have been weighing a lot of thoughts over the past few months, never mind the past few years, and knowing when to weigh in and knowing when to hold back has become something of an art. You might want to ask yourself: Will it make a difference? Is it useful? Sometimes it is just necessary to have a voice on the record. And this week, with all of the potential for change, and paying attention to what it means to honor your own values, and not fall prey to the pressure to conform, can mean the difference between growth and stagnation. Sometimes you have to rock the boat a little. And sometimes you have to speak truth to power. There is also something else happening this week, that has to do with finding your place in the scheme of things. Almost like that moment when clarity descends, and you say to yourself: This is it.
Scorpio
What started out as perhaps a mild irritation, can easily get blown into a molehill this week. You can forgive certain indiscretions. But there comes a time when enough is enough. There are principles at stake. And you are not going to be compromised. George Bernard Shaw once said that all great truths begin as blasphemies, and this may be when you feel compelled to cry out (perhaps even in utter disgust) that the emperor has no clothes. Don’t be completely floored when you realize that not everyone sees the truth the way that you see it, even if it is staring them right in the face. There are times when it is possible to agree to disagree, but there are times when it just seems so critical to tell the truth, even if it seems to fall on deaf ears. This is a critical week for Scorpio. The Full Moon in Aquarius is like a turning point, that could change the conditions or circumstances in your life in some way. Just realize that this is merely a precursor of things to come. We’re all experiencing a few growing pains here and there.
Sagittarius
Motive is everything in 2020. If your motives are just, and for the over all greater good of everyone involved, then you are likely to meet with success. Perhaps even greater success than you anticipate! But it’s also all too evident when people could care less about what is right, or what is wrong. And they just may feel a bit like the chickens are coming home to roost. But before you break out the popcorn, or before you decide to jump into the fray, yelling ‘I told you so!’, you may want to make sure that you are channeling all of that righteous anger and restlessness in a constructive and useful way. There’s a driving force that has been building up over the past several weeks. Use it to get things done! Use that righteousness for a good cause. And if that doesn’t work, go for a run. There will be plenty to get pissed off about later when things aren’t quite so radical and unpredictable. You don’t want to stir things up even more than they already are. In the mean time, in the midst of all of the excitement this week, take some time out to let that special someone know exactly how much they mean to you. This could be the start of something special.
Capricorn
There is this concentrated intensity of purpose that predominates much of your life these days. And there is little that you will allow to dissuade you from that purpose, your beliefs, your ethical and moral standards. There is right and there is wrong. And you will uphold those principles come what may. No matter what it takes. And even if you have to piss off a few people in the process. Just realize that, thanks to the Full Moon on Monday, we’re all walking on shaky ground this week, and there’s no telling how people are or are not going to react. Full Moons can be a little emotional even in the best of times, and this one is also bound to be unpredictable. And you won’t want to push the wrong buttons at the wrong time. Something might blow. Try to find positive ways to channel your righteous anger, that might not be so confrontational. Go for a run! Work on that project you’ve been trying to get done. You’ll have enough opportunity to piss people off later when things are a little less electrified.
Aquarius
A lot of people have been fired up lately. All the more so now that we are also throwing in this crazy Full Moon in Aquarius on Monday. Everyone is going to feel this moon to some extent, but no one quite so much as Aquarius and Leo. This is because you all have been poised to make some unprecedented changes in your lives, and this Full Moon is serving as something of a launching pad. If you are already where you need to be, you may just feel a little restless and excited. And trepidatious at the same time. This is because you are standing at the threshold of a whole new beginning. And things are starting to shift into place in order to allow that beginning to occur. Seeds are being planted. Moves are being made on the playing board. Therefore be flexible this week. You’ll want to be available, when it’s necessary for you to make that move. The world is daring to open up just enough to allow that to happen.
Pisces
Just when we think we finally have it all figured out. Just when we think we have a handle on this crazy roller coaster of a year. Along come these crazy Full Moons daring to upset the apple cart. Perhaps the best advice for this week, is to remain as flexible as possible, for there’s no telling what will be revealed in the excitable aura of this Aquarius Moon. It could even catch you off guard. Be prepared to have to switch up. Plans could change. Routines could be disrupted. Your course of action could get re-routed. It could even feel as if nothing is sacred any more! Secrets are revealed, dirty linen is being tossed out on the streets! It’s just shocking. It’s as if people just don’t have any sense or values any more. Things could get sped up this week. So it might be wise to pace yourself in order to avoid tripping over your own feet. One step at a time, one day at at time, will get you where you need to go.
