For the week of November 5th thru the 12th, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Aries
The New Moon in Scorpio, changeable and perhaps unpredictable as it is, was setting the tone for the month. And one thing that it can tune us in to are those things that we no longer need, and may in fact be holding us back, and preventing us from embracing much needed changes. When you make a promise, you want to follow through. However we can’t always see what is involved with those commitments until we are bound. And over the next week anything that has become too burdensome, too hard, too time consuming, or too much, will no longer be tolerable. This is when we are all more likely to just say No More. It may be just the time to withdraw from tiresome commitments, discontinue those costly monthly subscriptions, change up some of your own rules and obligations, and even take on any self-limiting habits, doubts or fears. You are preparing the way for rebirth and renewal. Remind yourself that now that Mars is in Scorpio, you are powerful and capable of taking on even the most daunting of challenges.
Taurus
Now that we are in Scorpio season and still in the early stages of the lunar cycle, this month continues with the current theme of gathering and sifting through your current commitments and allies. And now that Venus is entering Capricorn on Friday, you will probably find yourself more fully appreciating certain qualities in people, and in your life. Things that have to do with loyalty, being trustworthy and reliable, showing up on time, being committed, and someone you know will be there for the long haul. And as Mercury also changes signs on Friday, moving into Scorpio, make it a point to show the people who you care the most about, how much they are appreciated. You will want your allies close. Over the past few years, many a Taurus has been reinventing their lives. This can be a challenge to others who may not fully understand the changes that you are going through. It might be a good reminder (from Ralph Waldo Emerson) these days that: To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is your greatest accomplishment.
Gemini
The day after the New Moon, your ruling planet Mercury, also moves into the sign of Scorpio. This puts even greater emphasis on things like daily routines, habits, those things that support your health and well being, and perhaps your work. You will notice and appreciate the things that are working out, and making your life easier. But you will also be noticing those things that are not working so well, and are strewing obstacles and challenges in your daily life. If there is something you can do about them, and you are willing to do so, know that it will be hard, but also worth it in the long run. But if after exploring all the possibilities, and there really isn’t anything to be done about your current challenges, see what you might be able to change in your outlook, that would make it easier for you to accept your current circumstances for what they are.
Cancer
Continue to use the momentum of the New Moon to make a commitment to have more love and more joy in your life. And this week you will be further exploring what are those things that are standing in the way of you doing so. What are the things that are standing in the way? Are there certain commitments that you have made or obligations that you feel you cannot get out of? And is there something that you can do about these obstacles? There may not be much you can do about some of the external circumstances in your life. And you may not have any control over other people’s behaviors. But what you do have control over are your own self-imposed should haves and could haves and your attachment to those things of the past that are no longer serving the person that you are becoming. What in your perspective are you needing to release in order to live your own best life?
Leo
We’ll all be feeling a bit like we are being confronted with certain obstacles and challenges this week. You tackle one challenge and another one pops up to take its place. This can be distracting and perhaps even annoying. But even as you are managing to put out the various fires and challenges in your life, there is also something else that is wending its way throughout the background. And that has to do with getting back to the things that really matter. Those things that make your life more enriched and meaningful. It can be as simple as the small things in life, such as the laughter of a child, the subtle knowing in a glance, the words of a song that you once knew so well. And it can be even more profound than that, such as when you open your heart to another, and they to you. These are the sorts of things that give you the strength and the incentive to meet the daily challenges that will crop up in your everyday life.
Virgo
Mercury enters Scorpio the day after the New Moon, bringing more focus into your everyday life. It can also bring some resistance to whatever changes may be brewing in your life, as you hold on to all that you were previously accustomed to. This may prove to be fruitless, as no matter how loudly you say No, it seems the wheels of change continue to grind forward. See if you can channel some of that tenacity and resistance, into something more productive, such as a project that you are working on. Or to solve a problem, or work out a puzzle. Mercury is now entering Scorpio, and your research and sleuthing skills are in prime form. You will leave no stone unturned, willing to look into even the darkest and most forbidding corners of your life in order to get to the bottom of whatever mystery is gripping your mind and heart. You can deal with whatever looming changes are on the horizon later. In the mean time, you’ve got some things to sort out first.
Libra
As Venus moves into Capricorn on Friday, it’s also bringing your attention to some of the most personal areas of your life, which is where it will be focused for the next several months. This will include things like home, family, and your personal support systems. All those things and people that you know you can depend on, and will have your back. When Venus is in Capricorn we come to value such things as responsibility and reliability; loyalty and commitment. This is a Venus that thinks in term of long term investments and lasting quality rather than flashiness or lots of bells and whistles. And this is in tune with the New Moon energy which had to do with sorting out your true priorities, the bottom line, and the things that really matter. For another thing Venus in Capricorn is, is practical. And anything that is proving to be more costly than it is worth is going to be seriously reconsidered.
Scorpio
It’s time to let go of that which is no longer serving you, and is proving to be much more bother than it is worth. The New Moon in Scorpio is a time of new beginnings for you, however it could also be that you are needing to let go of something in order to more fully embrace that new beginning. A part of you may resist moving forward, especially if you are still holding on to a past that is no longer relevant for the person you are now becoming. It will soon become evident to you what is or is no longer working for you. And you may even find that as the week continues to wear on, that you may be forced to have to change the very thing you have been resisting most. Change can be scary. But it can also be exciting and filled with new possibility. The New Moon in Scorpio was setting the tone for the month, reminding you that you are profound, and have depths of potential as yet unrealized.
Sagittarius
The New Moon in Scorpio on November 4th, marked a time of transition. Like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, you are being urged to embrace any upcoming changes. But in order to prepare yourself for whatever changes, updates, renewal to come, you are first being required to release the past. There are probably still a few obstacles standing in the way of you fully embracing your future. That may mean having to give up something that you were accustomed to. However, at this time, you are being asked to evaluate and consider those things that are truly worth your valuable time, money and energy, and those things that simply aren’t. It can be difficult to let go of doing things the way you always have in the past. In which case, take things one step at a time, one day at a time. When you see the practicality of certain changes and events that are occurring, there will be no more looking back.
Capricorn
Venus enters your sign on Friday, where it will remain through the 5th of March. During this period of time you will find that your desire for beauty and gracious surroundings will be stronger than ever. And within that context you will be reevaluating all those things that contribute to having more grace, quality and beauty in your life. As well as those that don’t. Capricorn is a sign that appreciates value, and investing in those things and those people that are most valuable to you will be a primary concern. That can also mean being clear about those things that are no longer serving you, and that are not worthy of the investment you have been making in them. It’s a matter of priorities, and focusing on those that truly matter to you. Remember, that with this current New Moon you were being reminded that when you embrace your own power, you can become an instrument for positive change in your life.
Aquarius
Scorpio is a sign of transformation, rebirth and renewal. And many an Aquarius is on the road to realizing their true potential, as well as their place in the world. But not without being utterly and truly honest with themselves about what is or is not worth their valuable time, focus and energy. Of all signs, it is especially important for Aquarius to realize what goals are most important to you. Not necessarily what others tell you you should do, or are supposed to do, but what is right for you. This is something that is essential for you to focus on when Saturn is in your sign, as it is this year and next. And this week, some of the things that you may become more aware of, are the things that you know you don’t want, or are no longer working for you. Perhaps you have outgrown these old outworn goals. Or they are no longer serving the person you are becoming. Knowing what you don’t want or no longer need is just as important for this journey, as coming to know what you do want.
Pisces
In a world that is constantly throwing obstacles in our path and challenging us to stay on course, there are a few things that give us the inspiration to keep going out and meeting those challenges. It doesn’t speak as loudly, and it may be just a still small voice in the background, but it is that which makes it all that much more meaningful and worth your while. Things like walks in nature, where you can hear the voice in the silence and the rustle of the leaves. Watching the sun go down on the horizon, reminding you that tomorrow is another day. Reading aloud your favorite poem before you say good night. These are the things that bring you the strength to go out and meet the world on its own terms. Know that if you bring only a piece of those precious moments into your daily activities and share them with others, you can then make someone else’s day worthwhile as well.
