For Saturn’s retrograde phase in Pisces, for your sign and/or natal house (if you know it):
Aries
(12th House) There could be a bit of commotion in the upcoming week. Or it just may be that you are realizing that you need a change of course. Perhaps the best advice for the upcoming Mars/Uranus square on the 26th is to remain flexible, avoid making impulsive decisions and/or assumptions until you have all the facts first. Mars/Uranus weather is just so volatile, there is no telling what the results will be of actions taken and decisions made in this weather. Especially in light of the Saturn retrograde cycle which brings something of a finality, and arriving at a level of acceptance for what our current limitations and boundaries are. Mars/Uranus will want to fight and flail against our limits and boundaries. But there is no fighting the inevitable with Saturn retrograde in Pisces. Things that we previously relied on or took for granted may no longer be available. And so we despair for what once was. But within the boundaries of what we are being shown are also the things that we can do. And what is possible. Recognizing this requires a certain amount of internal adjustment and acceptance. Positively, Saturn’s retrograde phase allows you to gradually withdraw from those things that are no longer relevant to you, and may actually be preventing you from growing. The retrograde phase which lasts through November 4th is your opportunity to phase these out.
Taurus
(11th House) Sudden changes could feel disruptive in the early part of the week when a square aspect between Mars and Uranus could set things on edge. Be prepared to have to drop everything, or change your plans. There’s just no telling what Mars/Uranus weather can bring. But in deference to the retrograde phase of Saturn, a long term plan is beginning to take hold. Jupiter in your sign has been opening doors of opportunity, and encouraging you to broaden your horizons. But Saturn’s retrograde station last week was asking you to narrow your focus, focusing your attention on one or two areas rather than spreading yourself too thin. This is a time for reassessing and redefining the goals that you have, while making things simpler, more focused and more achievable. The same for your group affiliations and obligations. If these are distracting you from your foremost priorities, you will find yourself cutting back in order to be able to move forward. It will also be noteworthy within the bounds of the retrograde phase which lasts until November 4th, which of your friends and associates are supporting you and your goals, and which of those are either distracting you from your purpose, or moving in another direction.
Gemini
(10th House) Even though your ruling planet, Mercury, is moving along at a particularly speedy pace these days, the recent retrograde station of Saturn is asking you to step back and make sure that you are on the right coordinates. When Saturn stations retrograde, as it did last week, it can sometimes feel like progress has come to a halt. However, do not allow your resolve or commitment to be defeated. It just may take a longer time. Or there may be some necessary details to be taken care of behind the scenes before things can proceed again. The retrograde phase is not necessarily the best time to go in a new career direction or take on more responsibilities. Obligations taken on during the retrograde phase of Saturn often prove to be more involved and time consuming than originally expected. What the retrograde phase is good for is reorganizing your current plans and trajectory, and weeding out whatever congestion is blocking your progress. This is also an excellent time to cultivate such Saturn qualities as organization, paying attention to details, exercising self-discipline, and further developing your leaderships skills. Saturn will bring opportunities for you to do so. Often in the ways it knows best, through on the job training.
Cancer
(9th House) With Saturn’s retrograde phase in Pisces, many a Cancer will be concerned with sorting out the necessary paperwork, credentials and experience that will allow them to further their goals. Stepping back and taking care of details may be necessary before you can proceed with any plans. Look out for red tape and unforeseen details and editing that slow down progress. But there is something significantly more to this phase of Saturn than going back over necessary paperwork and credentials. And that has to do with stepping back and connecting with your core principles, beliefs and values. It can be as simple as knowing the difference between right and wrong. But Saturn’s retrograde phase takes this another step further, in which you will not allow your principles to be compromised. This is when people question what they are being asked to believe, and may even cut off certain affiliations in order to restore their own personal integrity. They question their religion, they question their teachers, their political party, and even the law. But figuring out for yourself what you believe to be true and right is essential right now. For it will serve as a bellwether for years to come.
Leo
(8th House) There is some unsettled weather this week. As a result you may not even know if you are coming or going, especially in the earlier part of the week when we have an unpredictable and changeable Mars/Uranus square. As a result, a situation could change quite suddenly. Pace yourself. Don’t rush things. And avoid impulsive moves that could prove to be regrettable. The recent station of Saturn might actually mitigate some of the impulsiveness of the Mars/Uranus square, for this is often a time when we are asked to step back, retreat and withdraw. This can be literal. It would not be unusual to find yourself wanting to back out of certain obligations that have become much more difficult than originally anticipated. The sign Pisces, is a sign associated with endings. And when Saturn stations it makes us aware of our limitations and boundaries. Honoring those limits can help you to make better and more practical choices moving forward. Choices that are more sustainable and manageable, and goals that are achievable. It can sometimes feel with Saturn in its retrograde phase that there is little you can do about your current circumstances. If that is the case, or you are not willing to make the sacrifices that would be necessary to create needed changes. They you may ask yourself, what you can change in your perspective or outlook that will allow you to accept your current circumstances for what they are.
Virgo
(7th House) Your ruling planet, Mercury, is just speeding along these days, bringing up the pace in just about every department of life. It will be all you can do to keep up! Lucky for you, Saturn’s recent station for its retrograde phase can help to moderate the pace. Unfortunately one way that can happen is by Saturn setting up a few road blocks and delays. Do not be discouraged if this is the case. As these can also prove to be blessings in disguise. Saturn’s retrograde phase also gives you the power of your own No. That includes being able to set boundaries with others, and reevaluate your expectations of others, and they of you. This will be all the more so during the retrograde phase of Venus which is coming up later in July. But one thing that can become apparent during the retrograde phase of Saturn which lasts until November 4th, is that there is only so much you can do for others. You can bring them the tools and skills they need, but it is up to them to use them. You can’t fix them, nor can they fix you. Also look at the ways that you may have been shutting people out now that Saturn is in Pisces. Reassessing and renegotiating these boundaries, walls and ramparts, are all part of the retrograde phase, determining in the end where everyone is going to be standing when all is said and done.
Libra
(6th House) One of the things that can happen when Saturn is in its retrograde phase is that we become much more aware of our limitations and boundaries. Respecting these can actually make you more efficient. During the retrograde phase of Saturn which lasts through November 4th, don’t try to take on too many projects or lengthy obligations. These will only prove to be a lot more difficult to handle, or more involved than anticipated. Be willing to say no, or to value your time, your schedule and the commitments you have already made. That can also include backing out of a frustrating commitment that proves to be too demanding, or more trouble than it is worth. What the retrograde phase is good for, is taking care of projects or responsibilities that you have been kicking down the road, or neglecting. That can include addressing any lingering health problems, that you’ve been trying to ignore. If that is so, you will no longer be able to. What this retrograde phase is good for are things like rehabilitation, or health goals that may require a little extra self-restraint or self-discipline. Use the positive attributes of Saturn to organize your environment, organize your schedule, and be more disciplined about things that support your health and well-being, including diet, or an exercise routine that strengthens you mentally as well as physically.
Scorpio
(5th House) This could wind up being something of a wild and crazy week, with sudden turns and switches in direction. Things could be moving pretty quickly, so it is important not to get caught up in the maelstrom. Use the recent retrograde station of Saturn to pace yourself, and slow down. You will want to stay centered in order to be able to make the best choices moving forward. And you won’t want to do anything impulsively. In many ways, cultivating Saturn qualities can ease you through a myriad of challenges over the months ahead. One of those qualities is patience. Others are forbearance, organization and self-respect. Saturn only just recently stationed for its retrograde phase on the 17th, but it is this week that we come to appreciate the ability to be able to set appropriate boundaries with others, and be able to say No when you need to. Not only for your sake, but for the sake of others as well. Another way that these inner qualities of Saturn can be cultivated is through any sort of creative work. For instance, self-discipline, an eye for detail, and the development of skill in practice. There is a certain pride that comes from a job well done when Saturn is in Pisces, and the retrograde phase of Saturn is when you develop those qualities that will facilitate that process.
Sagittarius
(4th House) Your ruling planet, Jupiter, and recently retrograde Saturn are working synergistically together in order to create a foundation for a practical and realizable strategy and plan. With Saturn in Pisces, shoring up the foundations of your life are critical to this strategy. And during the retrograde phase of Saturn you will be shown which areas of your life will need to be addressed. That can be as practical as making repairs in your home, or replacing structures that are old and worn out. It is a time for mending family relationships, helping out a family member, and strengthening your current support systems. Just be aware that taking on the responsibility or care of another during the retrograde period of Saturn could involve a lot more than previously anticipated. And although we cannot return to the past, the retrograde phase can be a time of reflection, where you will find yourself revisiting events of the past, in order to make sense of the present. The aim of Jupiter in Taurus is to create greater safety, security and stability in your life. Therefore making the foundations of your life strong and more reliable, either through rebuilding or rehabilitation from the bottom up also serves the agenda of your ruling planet now traveling in Taurus.
Capricorn
(3rd House) There may be some hard truths that you are needing to face, including what to do about certain limitations that are being imposed on you. You might want to ask yourself whether or not there is something you can do about your current limitations. And if so, are you willing to make the sacrifices that are being asked of you, in order for these changes to be made? It may be, that when you explore your possibilities that you might decide to do nothing and stick with where you are, and what you have. But if that is the case, you might also want to ask yourself how your choices are being influenced by any fears and anxiety. Make sure you have all the facts first. Get advice from the experts. Saturn has only just stationed for its retrograde phase. Therefore it is especially important to be as reality centered as possible. During this retrograde phase of Saturn you are being asked to grow in some way. Being realistic and seeing things exactly as they are helps to make sounder (and mature) decisions going forward. One advantage this year, is that the retrograde phase was launched with a Jupiter/Saturn cycle, which allows you to see better solutions, by considering all of your options, picking the best one, and then creating a plan and a road map to get there.
Aquarius
(2nd House) With Saturn stationing retrograde in Pisces, as it just did last week, it can sometimes happen that financial or business agreements with others can experience some kind of glitch. People back out. They have second thoughts. Agreements are put on hold. Whether this happens or not, Aquarius will be thrown back on their priorities during the retrograde phase (which lasts thru November 4th). And as a result you will be looking for better and more reliable ways to build up or stabilize equity and security. And if this requires the need to cut back, spend less, or simplify your financial situation, this is when you are most likely to make those sorts of decisions. Saturn retrograde in Pisces is about sustainability, self-discipline and self-restraint. However, with a sextile to Jupiter this past week, the retrograde phase of Saturn is also going to be about building and planning for the future. Saturn is not about the pie in the sky, it lets you know what is or is not achievable. It shows you the facts and the numbers. And having those facts and numbers will allow you to have the information you need in order to create a viable plan for the future. A plan that is sustainable, and has the potential to grow well into the future.
Pisces
(1st House) Even if it may not seem so at first, your ruling planet, Jupiter, and recently retrograde Saturn are working synergistically together in order to create a strategy and a plan for the future. Jupiter in Taurus is inspiring you to create a plan that will ultimately bring greater security, peace and stability in the long run. This may require you to step back, retreat, or cut back. Or even go back to the drawing board, to start all over again. Saturn in your sign wants you to do things the right way. One advantage of stepping back, is that it allows you to see the bigger picture and be able to see what steps are going to be needed in order to fulfill your long-term goals. During the retrograde phase of Saturn, which lasts through November 4th, Saturn wants you to become more personally aware of those goals that are right for you, as well as those that you simply know are not right for you. And through this process, you also have the opportunity to grow in ways that you might not have thought possible: developing leadership skills; making important decisions; becoming more self-reliant, responsible and organized. Kind of like a grown up. A grown up with a plan and a goal.
