For this week’s horoscopes (and the stations of Saturn and Neptune by house) be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Aries
(12th House) Both Saturn and Neptune will station retrograde in your natal or Solar whole sign 12th House this week, putting a great deal of emphasis on the past and from where you’ve come. Distracting, and perhaps a little disorganized, Neptune is asking us all to slow down the pace, and put the focus within. Not doing so will just exhaust you. It is time to tune out the noise and commotion of the outer world and tune in. Not easy for an Aries. But this yearning for retreat, for connection, can not and will not be ignored. There is both a review and a releasing taking place as both Saturn and Neptune station in Pisces. The 12th House is a house of endings, and with both of these ringed giants in Pisces it can also bring a sense of inevitability. Things that we previously relied on or took for granted may no longer be available. And so we despair for what once was. But within the context of what we are being shown are also the things that we can do. And what is possible. Recognizing this requires a certain amount of internal adjustment and acceptance. Positively, Saturn and Neptune’s retrograde phase allows you to gradually withdraw from those things that are no longer relevant to you, and may actually be preventing you from growing. This is your opportunity to phase these out, perhaps once and for all.
Taurus
(11th House) Both Saturn and Neptune will station retrograde this week in the sign of Pisces. Saturn’s station is accompanied by a trine to your ruling planet Venus, and it can often be true that although it can often feel like things are stalling when Saturn stations, this can prove to be to your advantage in the end. Yet these retrograde stations of both Saturn and Neptune can initially cause you to despair for what could be, if only, but they can also help to reorient you to those things that will really matter in the end. Saturn’s retrograde phase allows you to gradually withdraw from those activities and affiliations that are no longer relevant to you, and may actually be preventing you from growing. Meanwhile the retrograde phase of Neptune, is asking you to double down on connecting with those hopes and dreams that are truly important to you. With both Saturn and Neptune in Pisces you are being asked to question false promises and unrealistic expectations. Associations with others who are working in common cause with you can bring healing and inspiration. But if something is feeling a little too cultish, or you are being asked to make sacrifices you wouldn’t normally make, look a little deeper. You are being asked to fulfill some of your hopes and dreams in the company of others. Just make sure it’s the right company, and that they are on the same page. Your homework during the retrograde phases of Saturn and Neptune is to cultivate those associations that support your goals and feed your spirit, while phasing out those that diminish your spirit or are leading you away from your chosen goals.
Gemini
(10th House) If you are feeling like your true talents are not being fully appreciated, or you are not in the right place in which to fully use your skills to capacity, do not fret. This will be changing over the course of the year. Jupiter, the planet of growth, is in your sign, and although it may seem that things are reversing, stopping or stalling for now with Saturn and Neptune poised for their retrograde phases, the potential that Jupiter brings by being in your sign, still stands. Saturn’s retrograde station can sometimes make it seem that progress in certain areas has come to a halt. However, do not allow your resolve or commitment to be defeated. Your ruling planet, Mercury will be trine Saturn as it stations, reminding you of those things that truly are worth committing to. This is a taking care of business sort of transit, and sets the tone for the retrograde phase to come. Therefore use the Saturn retrograde period to revamp or reorganize your current plans and weed out whatever congestion is blocking your path. The next 5 months is an excellent time for anything that requires organization, taking care of details, being focused, disciplined and honing up your leadership skills. What both of these retrograde phases are good for, is reassessing, and realigning your goals so that they are more in tune with those things that really matter to you in the end. What are those roles and activities that do bring greater purpose and meaning? And how can you make these more of a priority?
Cancer
(9th House) Now that Saturn stations for its retrograde phase in Pisces, many a Cancer will be concerned with sorting out the necessary paperwork, and getting the credentials and experience that will allow them to further their goals. Just know that there are probably some very necessary details that need to be taken care of first before you can proceed. And don’t be too surprised by all the red tape, unforeseen details and editing that will inevitably slow down the process over the next 4 months. With both Saturn and Neptune stationing this week for their retrograde phases, this period is more than having to go back over and review any necessary paperwork and credentials. It also has to do with stepping back and connecting with your core principles, beliefs and values. It can be as simple as knowing the difference between right and wrong. But these retrograde phases of Saturn and Neptune take this another step further, in which you will not want to allow your principles to be compromised. This is when people question what they are being asked to believe, and may even cut off certain affiliations in order to restore their own personal integrity. They question their religion, they question their teachers, their political party, and even the law. But figuring out for yourself what you believe to be true and right and meaningful to you is essential right now. For it will serve as a bellwether for years to come.
Leo
(8th House) Many a Leo could be feeling like they are standing at a crossroad this week, betwixt and between the past and the future. It is also not unusual for us to step back, reassess, and even withdraw from certain commitments or obligations that have begun to feel oppressively burdensome, when Saturn stations for its retrograde phase. Both Saturn and Neptune station retrograde in Pisces this week, a sign that is associated with endings. Saturn here makes us aware of our limitations and boundaries, and where we may have become scattered and disorganized. Honoring those limits can help you to make better and more practical choices and plans for the future. When Saturn is in Pisces, Leo will find themselves wanting to create a plan for the foreseeable future. A plan that is practical, sustainable and manageable. This would be all the more important if your available resources seem to have been unraveling in recent years. All the more reason to double down during the retrograde and reassess your current resources and obligations, creating a plan that can work. But beneath the pragmatic considerations, are also opportunities within the Neptune retrograde phase to understand what it means to sacrifice for something that brings a greater sense of meaning and purpose into your life. Initially the stations of Saturn and Neptune can feel like you are not being supported and having your needs fulfilled. However, ultimately, Neptune turns back into Pisces to show you what you do have. There are some things that you simply can not put a price tag on, but ultimately make it all worth it in the end.
Virgo
(7th House) Both Saturn and Neptune station for their retrograde phases this week, just days apart from one another, and it could feel a little overwhelming. Saturn aims to set better boundaries, create better agreements, while Neptune unravels whatever Saturn is trying to achieve. Pisces is a sign that Virgo associates with partners and allies, and with Neptune in this sign since 2012, others may often seem incomprehensible at times, leaving you feeling uncertain about their intentions, and perhaps even a little vulnerable. The combination of both Saturn and Neptune stationing in this sign could even make or break relationships by sowing doubt, and creating rifts. However, with both Saturn and Neptune stationing this week, you are being asked to establish healthier, more honest relationships and alliances. That can include making willing sacrifices in order to support each other’s needs. If this is one-sided do expect to see some sort of correction during the retrograde phases of Saturn and Neptune (which last until November 15th and December 7th, respectively). There is only so much you can do for others, nor they for you. You can bring them the tools that are needed, but it is up to them to use them. You can’t fix them. Neither can they fix you. Reassessing and renegotiating your boundaries, walls and ramparts, are all part of these retrograde phases. And in the end, this is what will determine who is with you and who is not, when all is said and done.
Libra
(6th House) This week both Saturn and Neptune will station for their retrograde phases. In some ways they may seem to be contradicting one another. Neptune has been asking you to slow down, pay attention to your emotional well-being, even if it may be at expense of your responsibilities and obligations. However with Saturn in the same sign, the inclination could be to keep ploughing ahead, even at the expense of your emotional well-being, which will only leave you feeling drained and disorganized, and thereby incapable of taking care of anyone or anything. Neptune’s station back into Pisces is here to remind you that you need to make space in your daily life for the the things that matter to you emotionally, psychically and spiritually. Positively, Saturn has been aiming to restore any boundaries that had become eroded, and help you to reorganize and galvanize your daily schedule. And the retrograde phase is especially useful for improving work habits, becoming more organized and perfecting skills, and fulfilling your responsibilities. With both planets now entering their retrograde phases see how you can further cultivate healthier habits and routines in your daily life (through diet, exercise, and healthier routines), while also including activities in your daily life that also support your emotional and spiritual well being. Doing so will invest your life and what you do with ever deeper meaning and purpose.
Scorpio
(5th House) Both Saturn and Neptune will station for their retrograde phases this week, which gives us the opportunity to internalize some of the more positive attributes of these planets. By stationing retrograde, both of these planets are cautioning you to pace yourself and slow down. By cultivating the positive qualities of Saturn, such as patience, fortitude, organization and respect, you will be able to center yourself and make better choices moving forward. That can include knowing how and when to set more appropriate boundaries with others, not only for your own sake, but for others as well. Both planets are in Pisces, which opens up a creative outlet for Scorpio. And whereas Neptune inspires, Saturn can put those inspirations into some sort of practical application through self-discipline, having an eye for detail, and through the development of skill through practice, patience and persistence. Neptune’s station brings inspiration that is just itching to find some avenue of expression. Whether that be through your relationships with children or loved ones, through some sort of creative self-expression, or through doing good works, Neptune’s station is asking you to connect with your own inner muse, and Saturn is asking you to find a medium through which to express that.
Sagittarius
(4th House) You could be finding yourself inexorably drawn in a certain direction over the next several weeks. On the one hand, you are becoming more aware of the areas of your life in which you are not quite reaching your full potential. On the other hand, you will be drawn to certain people, places and things like a moth to a flame, unable to resist, because these are the ones who will help you to fulfill that potential. This week both Saturn and Neptune will station for their retrograde phases, which could find you wandering down the road into the past, where you have the opportunity to commune with your ancestors. This is when Sagittarius finds themselves wanting to return to the homestead, and/or reconnect with your earliest memories. But actually this is about connecting to something within your own being. It’s not the place that brings a sense of meaning and belonging. Rather it is this inner part of your being that you carry with you from place to place that matters. What are those things, those people, those experiences that make you feel at home, and bring you that feeling of belonging? It is not unusual to want to revisit the past when Saturn and Neptune retrograde in Pisces. And although we may not be able to relive the past once again, the retrograde phase can be a time where you will find yourself revisiting events of the past, in order to make sense of the present.
Capricorn
(3rd House) Your ruling planet, Saturn, stations for its retrograde phase this week, followed a few days later by the retrograde station of Neptune, both in the sign of Pisces. These two planets may appear to be contradicting one another as they do so, but in actuality they are both necessary for the healthy functioning of our minds and outlook. As Saturn stations retrograde it is asking you to be as practical and reality centered as possible. Being realistic and seeing things exactly as they are helps you to make sounder (and more mature) decisions going forward. And this is especially important when trying to create a plan or a road map to achieve specific goals. When Saturn is in its retrograde phase it facilitates this process by internalizing the qualities of Saturn such as organization, focus and discipline. Neptune’s influence is more internal, emotional and psychological. And in order to gain the most from the retrograde phase of Neptune you are needing to be very un-Saturn like: stepping through the Neptunian veil into a world of wonder and the imagination. For it is there that you will discover meaning and purpose in your life. The truth is you need both. Neptune aims to inspire you by drawing you to connect with your own spiritual center, while Saturn aims to channel that inspiration into something realistically achievable and practical. Neptune inspires, but it is Saturn that creates the plan.
Aquarius
(2nd House) When planets station they are that much stronger. Neptune’s influence as it stations can be a bit insidious. It engulfs us in feelings. In premonitions and sometimes forebodings. Even though there isn’t any reason for us to be feeling that way. For Aquarius, while Neptune remains in these last degrees of Pisces, the story has been, and continues to emphasize things like self-worth, and self-esteem. For some this can feel like you are living your life on a wing and a prayer, hoping for a windfall, or some other higher power to sweep in and bail you out. For others, living on a wing and a prayer is a life choice which allows you to live a life of quality and meaning, even if it means having to cut corners, or live with financial uncertainty. But with the stations of both Neptune and your ruling planet Saturn occurring simultaneously, your could find yourself questioning your choices. However, you could also receive confirmation for making the choice that you have. It’s about what really matters in the end. Are personal satisfaction and inner fulfillment more important to you? Even if it means doing with less? Or are you now willing to sacrifice these for the sake of greater security and financial stability? Saturn will show you the facts and numbers. But Neptune supplies the why.
Pisces
(1st House) This week, both Saturn and Neptune will station for their retrograde phases in your sign. At the very last degree and minutes of Pisces, Neptune is turning back to reinforce some of the ideals that have been serving as something of a lodestar these past 12 years. It can sometimes feel as if we are coming undone when Neptune stations in your own sign as it is right now. But there is also a bit of contradiction, being that Saturn is stationing as well. Caught between the stern boundaries, obligations and responsibilities of Saturn, and the boundary-less confusion and uncertainty of Neptune it could sometimes feel like you are shoveling snow in a snowstorm. Saturn is trying to create order out of the inchoate confusion left behind by Neptune. But Neptune coming back is asking you to just be. Be present, and accept the uncertainty and confusion as a reality of our mundane existence. But each year as Neptune has stationed for its retrograde phase since 2012, it also asks you to reacquaint yourself with your own inner truths, your highest ideals, and your ever-evolving quest for spiritual understanding. These are the things that bring your life deeper meaning, and that make you feel like you have a purpose. Not having that will make you feel like something important is missing from your life. Connecting to your own spiritual center allows you to be more practical, allows you to be more centered in the real world of Saturn. For when you are able to connect with your own inner Neptune, you are connecting with something that is even more real than the real world itself.
