August 17th ~ 24th
Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. ~ Marcel Proust
We’ve made it through the chaotic Eclipse season, and Mercury finally (yes, finally) stations Direct on August 18th/19th. It is none too soon. And with the Sun entering Virgo on the 23rd, it could almost feel like we are being allowed to get back to business. Maybe it’s a little premature, but it seems as if things are at least moving in the right direction. Even before Mercury stations direct again, there is a shift in consciousness and awareness, as we readjust to a more normal perspective. More information will be revealed, allowing us to put all the pieces of our lives back together. And those seed ideas that were being germinated during the retrograde cycle will soon be given the causes and conditions in which to sprout. Hopefully we will now have more control over the daily routines of our lives. Preferably with less distractions.
Mercury is in good hands this week as it stations, making a pleasant sextile to friendly Venus. This is the stuff of which alliances are made, friendships thrive, and pleasantries are nurtured. Dare to tell the people you care about, how much they mean to you. Dare to make new friends and allies with those who cross your path. As we are able to look forward again, plan, and put our lives in order, be grateful to those that are there with us, for they are what make this trip all the worth while.
Sweet joy befall thee as in your own Bosom you bear your heaven and Earth and all you behold; Tho it appears without, it is within, In your Imagination, of which this world of mortality is but a shadow. ~ Wm. Blake
Within hours of the station of Mercury, Jupiter and Neptune perfect their final trine to one another, in the ethereal and mystic water signs of Scorpio and Pisces. This is a transit that has been in the backdrop of our lives for most of this year, acting on our hearts, our minds, and our consciences from behind the scenes. Jupiter makes things large. And when in allegiance with Neptune our hearts are being inspired to open to a higher purpose, investing our goals with greater meaning and fulfillment. Since it is a fluid and easy aspect, we may not notice it: it does not come with a lot of pomp and circumstance. Nonetheless, for those who are sensitive, it can lead you precisely where you need to be. This is an aspect for mystics, seers and intuitive guides. Scorpio-Rising Aretha Franklin took a ride on this lofty transit this past week, as Jupiter was exactly on her Ascendant when she passed. May this most transcendent transit bring her to a most auspicious and resplendent rebirth. And may we all be guided towards a greater purpose as we ride along on this sublime journey.
When the Sun enters Virgo on the 22nd/23rd, it is also going to form an Earth Grand Trine with the planets Saturn in Capricorn and Uranus in Taurus. These will culminate with the Full Moon on the 26th. After the instability and chaos of Eclipse season we are ready for this graceful landing. Thank goodness for this extra dose of stabilizing, organizing and grounding energy as we finish off the dog days of August. A perfect balance for the lofty Jupiter/Neptune trine. If nothing else, we’ll finally be able to pick up some of the pieces of what’s left of us.
