March 31st ~ April 7th
I think probably kindness is my number one attribute in a human being. I’ll put it before any of the things like courage or bravery or generosity or anything else. ~ Roald Dahl
Full Moons are like culminations. They can bring things to a head, to some sort of conclusion or climax. Things are exposed. We see things in a new light, and we see the results or consequences of our choices and our actions. The upcoming Full Moon at 16º Libra 07’ on April 5th or 6th (depending on where you are in the world) is also opposite to and shining a light on the recent Jupiter/Chiron conjunction. This conjunction of Jupiter and Chiron occurred on March 12th at 14º of Aries. This week, within the light of the Full Moon, the Sun in Aries will be carrying the light from Chiron to Jupiter.
It will either bring us confirmation that we are on the right track. Or show us where we might need some adjustments. Libra is a sign of fairness, equality and balance. And where things have become imbalanced, it aims to restore the natural order of things, and to make things more fair and equal.
Conjunctions are points of initiation, of new beginnings. Conjunctions in the sign of Aries ask us to stand up and move forward. Take some kind of action. This is not about sitting around waiting for something to happen. Aries gets up and makes things happen. Jupiter/Chiron is the wise Teacher, the Soothsayer and sage Healer, the Pathfinder leading the way. It has been asking us to release old wounds, free ourselves of old testimonies that are no longer valid, and walk forward with a lighter load.
Jupiter/Chiron in Aries has been reminding us that in order to be better leaders/caregivers/healers/teachers/guides to others, we need to be good stewards to ourselves as well. No More neglecting your own needs for the sake of others, or to make others feel comfortable at your expense. This is when the Healer is being asked to Heal Thyself. This is when the Caregiver is asked to take care of themselves. And the Full Moon can be a parting reminder to do so.
However, Jupiter can over-exaggerate the qualities of the conjunction. So for those who have been over-aggressively defending their own self-interests and self-preservation at the expense of others, the Full Moon in Libra will don her robes of justice and rebalance the scales of fairness and equanimity.
On a more mundane level, in our own personal lives, the Full Moon in Libra can simply be a reminder for us all to be more inclusive/considerate/kinder to others. On Monday, Mercury will enter Taurus, where it will remain for the next 10 weeks. This is a further reminder that kindness matters. When we immerse ourselves in Taurus weather for an extended period of time, as we will with Mercury for the next 10 weeks, we come to realize that is the small things that count, the kindnesses, the social graces, the small but good things that count for something.
Pay attention to what is revealed to you within the light of the Full Pink Moon this coming week. Full Moons are strongest leading up to and just before it is exact. Ask yourself how your decisions, actions, and behaviors might be impacting others. But also consider how you may still be depriving, blaming or sacrificing your own needs for the sake of others or a larger cause. Where might you want to create greater balance in your own life?
Things to do this week:
Go out of your way to find ways to spread kindness, and show your appreciation.
Let people know that they are seen. And that they matter.
Learn more about why those people in some other country are protesting so vociferously and with so much passion.
Do your little bit of good where you are.
Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world. ~ Desmond Tutu
