This week we have Jupiter stationing direct aiming to fulfill promises, and restore hope. And to do so even in the face of vast uncertainty. Neptune is conjunct the North Node making us feel as if we have been cast out to see with nary an oar or a map to guide us. And yet we are being asked to have faith (and hope) that we are being precisely where we need to be, even if it does not look like it yet.

On January 19th, the Sun enters Aquarius and will then make its conjunction to Pluto over the next few days. This highlights not only the recent ingress of Pluto into the sign of Aquarius, but also the Saturn/Pluto semi-square that has been hovering in the background of our lives, and can no longer be ignored.

The Full Moon in Cancer, and the Nodes of the Moon move back to Pisces and Virgo.

Mars makes the 2nd of its oppositions to Pluto on Friday and then ventures into Out of Bound territory. There are battles being waged, and people positioning themselves for power and control. Best for all of us to avoid being embroiled in unnecessary battles. We are needing to conserve our energy for later.

The New Moon at the New Year is an excellent time to make our New Year’s Resolutions. Using the impetus of the New Moon on December 30th, combined with the practical determination of the sign of Capricorn, our intentions have greater longevity. Make your intentions and resolutions clear. Make them practical and achievable. And then launch them into space with the New Moon in Capricorn. Happy New Year everyone! 

The Solstice chart, the Ingress chart for when the Sun enters Capricorn, sets the tone for the next quarter of the year. Like a snapshot of our lives we can see where threads are weaving, and where others are merely dangling, and perhaps even unraveling. But in the mean time we have celebrating and festivities to tend to. Mercury stations direct on the same day as the Full Moon in Gemini this weekend. And with all of the events of the previous 3 weeks, all of that information cascading and channeled through the Full Moon, we may not know if we are coming or going. But what is coming out in the light of this glorious Full Moon is making us aware of who we are, and what we aim to stand for. 

Mars stations Retrograde on Friday, and Neptune stations Direct this weekend. If you are wondering why you are so exhausted, or like you are walking through quicksand, you can blame this duo. Mars retrograde is not a time of action. Rather it is a time for retreat and repose, and connecting to our internal Why. Don’t fight it. Honor and respect it.
