For the week of December 17th thru the 24th, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Aries
Chiron stations direct in your sign this weekend, the day after the Full Moon. This particular Moon is filled with all sorts of chatter, travel, movement and activity, but it will still carry an element of inner awkwardness with Chiron hobbling about in your sign. Aries is not a sign for small talk. And the inclination could be to speak out of turn, if you don’t weigh your words. Plan activities with others that can help to clear the air, and resolve any conflicts. Go for a walk. Plan an outing. One thing that can become apparent is that despite any obvious differences and faults, when you are able to accept others for where they are, and for who they are, without trying to change or fix them, we can heal over any lingering rifts and divides, and make more meaningful connections with others. The ultimate aim for Chiron in Aries is to achieve healing and wholeness. Both within ourselves and with others.
Taurus
If you are feeling somewhat out of sorts, it’s no wonder with Venus stationing retrograde this weekend, and conjunct Pluto all month. Not to mention the last of the Saturn/Uranus squares on the 24th! We’ll discuss that more next week, but for now Venus stationing is the big story for Taurus, as it is your ruling planet. With Venus in Capricorn, you are all too aware of where and how things have become so divisive lately. See if you can use the upcoming Venus retrograde phase to reevaluate your own position and values, prioritizing those that are most important to you. Then look to see where you might be able to find some common ground with others. It will soon become apparent as to what you are or are not willing to compromise. But do look for areas where you can achieve agreements, and where you can reach across the divides. On a side note: travel could prove to be intriguing albeit complicated with the Venus retro. Try to avoid questionable romantic trysts while overseas. Talk about complicated entanglements! The simpler and the less entangled the better with this weather.
Gemini
There is a Full Moon in your sign this weekend, that could allow you to see things, and other people, in a much more objective light. Expect lots of activity, rushing about and perhaps a bit of commotion, but all with a bit of good cheer, and in good faith. Things come to a head at the Full Moon, and things also come to light. The Gemini’s that will be most affected by this Full Moon are those born between June 15th and the 21st or those who have 24-29º of Gemini rising, but all Gemini’s are going to feel the excitement and the acceleration in the air this weekend. You could find yourself rushing through the next few days, but they could also be filled with insight and flashes of genius. This is the sort of weather that if you are being plagued by a problem, and you sleep on it, you wake up with the answer that you were seeking. Sometimes all that is necessary is to be willing to look at things from another perspective. Meanwhile a sudden shift in plans could prove to be fortuitous, so take things in stride this week.
Cancer
The Full Moon in Gemini this weekend is shining a light into the darkest recesses of your psyche and your lives, illuminating secrets from the past, old memories, and those things hidden in the back of the cupboard, once thought long lost. Pick up that forgotten manuscript, re-read that poem, nostalgically re-tell that old story, and open the photo album to the page of lost memories. All these ghosts, these memories and hidden gems, they return to show you something that you need to see. And perhaps to answer questions that had long been unanswered. During all Full Moons there is a heightened awareness where our emotions are on the surface. But one of the things we are learning in the light of this Full Moon is that we don’t have to keep doing things the same way we always have in the past. That there might be better ways. Use what you learn today to make sense of what once was.
Leo
The Full Moon in Gemini is studded with a round of applause, some well-earned praise and perhaps a gift or two. This is the sort of Moon in which you could see the reception of a creative venture, and the fruition of all of your efforts in a positive way. At the very least it is a moon of good cheer and glad tidings. A lovely Sun/Jupiter sextile on December 19th brings hope and and optimism for the future, no matter what else may be going on. These could prove to be lucky days for you, if only because of the good will and optimism that these days can bring. Perhaps even including some good news. This is the same day that Venus stations retrograde, which will have you seriously thinking about how you can best use your skills and talents to their best advantage. Focus on what your priorities should be moving forward, in order to promote healthier habits and routines.
Virgo
Many things can come out and be revealed in the light of this busy Full Moon this weekend. Expect lots of conversation, tales to tell, and pleasantries bandied about. You may even have a story or two to tell yourself. Venus will also station retrograde this weekend, which could prove to be deeply compelling and creatively inspiring. Be warned though: questionable liaisons, and old flames can reemerge from the past in this weather, particularly if previous ties had not been fully severed, or things were left dangling. Tie up loose ends and focus on the people and the things in your life that really, really matter. When Venus is retrograde we make it a point to not only pay attention to these people and things that matter to you, but to figure out how to make them more of a priority in your life going forward.
Libra
If you’ve been feeling out of sorts lately, or find yourself doubting or questioning yourself a lot, you could probably blame stationing Venus conjunct Pluto for all that. She’ll be digging up all sorts of things from the past, taunting you with painful memories, and have you dealing with complicated feelings. One of the areas where these may surface are within your own family, and those people who you would normally rely on for moral and emotional support. Trying to negotiate complicated feelings and responses are interwoven with old ghosts and tendrils from some former time. Recognizing this, allow whatever emerges to pass through without necessarily engaging them. You are doing some serious inner work, and whatever is scraped up in the process is needing to be resolved. On a more practical level, use the next few weeks to clean out the cupboards, repurpose and recycle that which no longer serves you, and is just cluttering up your environment. Think of it as a deep cleanse, releasing the remnants of the year that was, in order to make room for the year to come.
Scorpio
This is a week chock full of a few twists and turns, a Full Moon and an annual Solstice. As Chiron stations direct in Aries this week it is asking you to pay attention to and resolve any health issues that have been lingering. All that you had learned over the past 5 months in regards to health or daily routines can now be applied with confidence. This is because you will now see the benefits of applying what you have learned. Chiron has been trying to show you how, through simple changes, and making yourself more of a priority, you can make a considerable difference. One thing that should have become apparent, is that when you take care of yourself, you will then be in a better place to be be of help and service to others. With the eagle eye of perception, Scorpio aims to investigate the truth, but be prepared for a few surprises as a result, especially with Venus stationing retrograde conjunct your co-ruler Pluto this week. There’s no telling what those two are capable of digging up.
Sagittarius
The Full Moon in Gemini will be trine your ruling planet Jupiter this weekend, bringing rewards and the fulfillment of some of your heartfelt aspirations. Full Moons can finally bring things to a head, or allow you to see things in a more objective way. Feelings are often on the surface at these times. Do expect a lot of chatter, discussions, and perhaps even a bit of commotion. It could even feel as if you are being expected to be in several places at once. Be flexible, for unexpected changes in plans could prove to be fortuitous in the end. Now that Venus is stationing retrograde you are also being asked to make a priority list. This may be helpful in focusing in on what you truly want to spend your precious time money and resources on, and where it will be most worth your while to do so. This is also about how well you recognize the value of what you have to offer others.
Capricorn
Venus stations retrograde in your sign this weekend, and as it does so it is closely conjunct the planet Pluto. And now that Venus will be retrograde it could dig up all sorts of things that could cause you to question yourself and your self-worth. Pay attention to what is being brought to the surface during the retrograde phase of Venus which lasts until the end of January, but don’t allow it to ensnare you with feelings of doubt. If it does bring old feelings, fears or regrets to the surface, think of these as opportunities to forgive, accept and release. Most especially forgive yourself. Then focus on those things that you do well, and that you do like about yourself. Venus retrograde in Capricorn is an opportunity for reinvesting yourself with a deeper sense of acceptance, self-worth and gratitude. And in this way eventually attaining greater wholeness.
Aquarius
Venus was almost, but not just yet, ready to enter your sign as it slowed for its retrograde station this coming weekend. It seems that there are still some things to be tied up and resolved before the planet of love, harmony, beauty and money finally enters your sign in March. With Venus conjunct Pluto Venus is giving Aquarius permission to let go of the past in order to move on. There are things we hold on to, that no longer serve us or our well being. That includes things like regrets, as well as denizens from the past, interlaced with all of their complications. Things that you may have hidden away in some dark and forbidden corner. Retrogrades can sometimes present us with second chances. But second chances at what? What these retrogrades through Capricorn usually offer Aquarius is the opportunity to clear the path, in order to make space for much better things to come.
Pisces
The Full Moon this weekend could bring a bit of excitement and activity on the home front. It could feel as if there is a lot of chatter, commotion, and activity with this Moon. Most of it celebratory or hopeful. What we learn and what is disclosed in the light of this moon could feel like the culmination of a series of events that finally reach some sort of conclusion. The Full Moon is trine your ruling planet Jupiter, which is going to be entering your sign at the end of this month. In the mean time, you are being asked to count your blessings as Jupiter winds down in the last degrees of Aquarius. One thing that could become apparent in the light of the Full Moon is the importance of family and community. And as Venus stations retrograde as well this weekend, we are being asked to also honor those friends who are also a part of that community. Those people who get you, and with whom you know you can share your heart and soul with.
