For the week of December 24th thru the 31st, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Aries
There may have been some things that you could have done better in the past. Perhaps a better path to be taken. Perhaps there are those things you even regret, or would rather not have done. But with Venus retrograde and conjunct Pluto this weekend, you are being given the opportunity to leave all those regrets behind, and re-write the script. Perhaps even get a chance to start all over again the right way. But through the retrospective lens of Venus we can also come to more fully appreciate all the decisions and choices you made throughout the years, as well as the twists of fate that have brought you to this place and time. And one thing we come to realize now that Jupiter is entering Pisces, is how our own destiny is woven together with the lives of others. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said: We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied together into a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. Jupiter is our teacher. And as he enters Pisces this week, he is asking you to realize this inner connection with all of life, and as a result in some remarkable way, also find healing.
Taurus
Retrograde Venus has come back to the same degree as Pluto, getting caught up in its inescapable tendrils of desire, fate, obsession and survival. It seems to be unavoidable. Venus/Pluto are saying, ‘look here, look here!’ as you find your attention absorbed with one prevailing topic or idea, to the exclusion of all else. For some this is necessary and cannot be ignored. But combined with your primary concerns are also old yearnings, memories and ghosts from the past, reemerging with all of their hapless regrets, desires and worries. The past is moving on even as you are struggling to make sense of the remnants that remain of what once was, with all of its lingering hopes and aspirations. Allow all these visitors to pass through. They are showing you something important. But they are also reminders that in some way your life will never be quite the same again. You are standing on the threshold of a New Year to come, where you ask the question: Who am I? And how exactly am I going to fit into this new paradigm?
Gemini
Mercury comes to join the Venus/Pluto conjunction this week. And as it does so, it could feel as if you are getting sucked into some sort of inescapable and intense maelstrom. This can be great weather if you are hoping to solve a mystery or research a project, or be better informed. Your mind is really organized and focused. But you could also find yourself mesmerized or obsessed with a specific idea to the exclusion of all else. And the urgency with which these ideas hold you could lead you down a rabbit hole of distraction. Sometimes we need to just explore these labyrinths in our minds. Yet when Mercury is in Capricorn, Gemini is being asked to pay attention to their promises and obligations, and that requires a certain amount of sorting and prioritizing. In the end, when you analyze these last days of 2021, you will want to ask yourself where and how you most want to invest your valuable time and resources going forward into 2022.
Cancer
It will be hard not to be preoccupied in this weather, with Venus retrograde and tied up with Pluto. We’ll all be sorting through the remnants of what remains of our lives with these two doing some serious triage. But with 4 planets in pragmatic Capricorn, you are being asked to step back and examine your options with a critical eye. With Capricorn it’s not so much about abundance and size, as it is about quality, reliability, endurance and sustainability. And it’s probably less about what we want than what we need right now. This may make for some hard choices at the last minute. But the sign of Capricorn is ever practical and wise. And as Jupiter moves into Pisces this week, it’s also going to be shining a light on Cancer. Due to what you have discovered and learned over the past year, you are going to be filled with a desire to learn even more. And as a result you will never quite see the world the same way again. For as Jupiter shifts into Pisces, so does your perspective shift as well, allowing you to look at things from a higher, more altruistic point of view.
Leo
Whatever doubts you bring into the week as it begins will soon be replaced by a sense of hope and optimism about the future as the Sun approaches a trine to illuminating Uranus next week. The Saturn/Uranus square on the 24th, could feel a bit all or nothing, as you are coming to realize that in some ways your life will never be quite the same again. You are standing on the threshold of a New Year, between an old life and a new life to come. And as you do so you could find yourself wondering what exactly that is going to look like for you going forward? Some things, and perhaps even people, that you previously relied on, may no longer be available, and it could have felt at times like you were being blocked or denied access at every turn. Ultimately you are trying to adapt to a new reality. One that seems to constantly be changing. What you are being asked to do is evolve and adapt along with it. And to do so in a way that allows you to redefine yourself, your brand and your reputation in this new and evolving world.
Virgo
How can you achieve some sort of normalcy in a world that is constantly challenging the status quo, and tossing traps along the path to trip you up? And what about ethics and morals? The rules just seem to keep on changing. How can a Virgo keep up? Luckily Virgo is adaptable. And you are being asked to do your own research in order to adapt to the changing circumstances as they continue to arise. That adaptability should be able to serve you well in the coming year. But for now you may find yourself in a bit of a tizzy trying to decide between what you really want, and what you actually need. Perhaps the best solution is to just slow down for now, and be in the moment. We can get so caught up in the doing, that we lose sight of what has been right there in front of us all along. One of the things we come to realize when Venus is retrograde as it is right now, are the people and things that are truly the most important to us, and how we can best express that going forward.
Libra
We’re all sorting through our priorities as Venus, now retrograde, will conjunct Pluto for the 2nd time. It is time to harness some courage, as you are needing to face down some of your inner demons once and for all, banishing them to the underworld from whence they came. One thing that Pluto often has to do with, is power and control. And with retro Venus here you will be coming to terms with those people and things around which you feel overwhelmed, and perhaps even rendered powerless. Awareness is the first step. The next steps will be about how you can take your power back. Ultimately, for Libra, this is about taking the reins of your own life. But not without having to face down those inner and outer demons that freeze you in your tracks and fill you with a bit of trepidation. What you don’t realize is that you are more than capable of transforming that trepidation into strength and fortitude. The tools and the means are there and at your disposal. You’ve got this, whether you realize it or not. You’re much mightier than you think.
Scorpio
For years you’ve been spinning your wheels, perhaps trying to get ahead, or at least on your feet, and feeling like you’ve been making little headway! The question is how you can get around this barrier, over this wall, that is standing in your way, and preventing you from living your own best life, and achieving your goals? There may still be a few hurdles to overcome, and a few walls to climb over before all is said and done. But know that from here on things are going to start moving ahead. But not without a bit of a struggle. Part of that struggle can involve having to break some old paradigms, and perhaps a few glass ceilings in the process as you are not only redefining yourself, but also indirectly changing the world. Saturn/Uranus squares, such as we have been having over the past year, can be times of extraordinary change in the world. And figuring out your role in this new and emerging world, continues to be your personal defining challenge.
Sagittarius
On December 28th Jupiter enters the sign of Pisces. This is especially important for Sagittarius, as this is your ruling planet, and where Jupiter goes, there you go as well. This can put greater emphasis on things like home and family. Not only in the practical ways, such as in making home improvements, or improving family relationships, but also in the ways that you define and prioritize these relationships in your life. Jupiter is expansive, and when traveling in Pisces as it is for the next 5 months, you will be thinking about making these parts of your life more stable, securing your roots, and the foundations of your life. Creating community, and perhaps even establishing a stronger base of operations. This is important for many of you, for whatever vision you’ve been working on over the past few years is about ready to be launched. And the deeper the roots the broader the branches.
Capricorn
Capricorn usually does not like things to change. They prefer to keep things, familiar, clean and simple. No unnecessary frills or surprises. Capricorn prefers quality, dependability and sustainability. That goes for their relationships as well as their possessions. They aim for a simple uncluttered life with few surprises. However, Capricorn’s inner hippie has been gradually emerging over the past year, trying to make their debut performance. But not without a bit of conflict. Should you stay with what you already know and are familiar with? Or should you dare to take the risk, and dare we say it, make some creative changes in your life? Perhaps in a new direction, or in a way that will allow greater growth and possibility? Whether that means digging out the old lava lamp, or adding a few choice crystals to your collection, it’s time to spruce up the zen garden of your life, while also getting your priorities in order. And perhaps you may even have the opportunity to find yourself in the process. It’s amazing what a few choice changes can do.
Aquarius
In a world that constantly seems to be changing, it can be a little frustrating just trying to keep up, while figuring out your own role in this ever-evolving world. It could feel at times like you are not even sure of what the rules are any more. The crazy thing is that not only are you having to adjust to the changes in the outer world, but you are also in the process of reacquainting yourself with yourself. For no matter what you ultimately decide in the end, the important thing is that whatever path you choose in the end, or decisions you make, they need to be the right ones for you. Not what other people necessarily tell you you should be doing, or could be doing, but what is right for you. You have been redefining your role this whole past year and sometimes the answers were not all that clear. As a result you might have even been compelled to forge your own path, in your own time, and in your own inimitable way. And that is always the harder road.
Pisces
On December 28th, Jupiter comes back home to its own sign of Pisces. Jupiter represents our big vision and hope for the future, and when it enters your sign as it is right now, it is also ushering in a whole new 12 year cycle of growth and understanding. Jupiter often brings a dose of optimism as it travels in your sign, encouraging you to take chances, and expand your horizons, perhaps beyond even your own previous expectations of yourself. Jupiter is asking you to think in terms of potential. Jupiter is your guide and your advisor, and it is not unusual to feel more confident when you have your personal guide taking you by the hand. Therefore do dare to expand your horizons, and your dreams, just enough to allow your life to grow beyond your current boundaries, and perhaps even reach for the stars themselves. The seeds you plant now and through the next several months, will bear fruit over the next 9 years. Therefore plant those seeds that you would like to see brought to fruition. Something interesting this way comes for Pisces.
